no, but she is everything i want and need in a protagonist and god, i just love her nonsense and commitment to ignoring red flags. also she's kinda horrible and i feel like that gets lost in the sauce sometimes, but uhhh. i <3 teenage girls who are unreliable narrators

also, no surprise, it IS casey likes as JD. i relearned how to rip and cut mp3s so i could listen to his renditions of songs. so worth planning a whole trip to nyc to see him before he left
also! close second is erin Morton. one thing that is really only captured live is that you can physically feel her kindergarten boyfriend reverberate in your chest and feel it in your bones. i teared the FUCK up

me in high school? chat, i was an emo art kid in marching band. i would be so cooked. i wouldn't be at the very bottom, bc i was a good person to cheat off of and made enough solidarity doing both art, book club , band, and theatre, but i would still be getting my lunch tray smacked.
i did competitive book club. where we did trivia against the other local schools based on a set of books assigned every year. i was notably NOT a heather, lmao.
