Your story happens in what type of world? Like, is it futuristic, post-apocalyptic, alien(?), or other type?
Okay okay I don't know how to explain it but imagine that Ltw or the "Gojiverse" is our world but everyone is a little bit more naive, more easily impressed and used to some absurd stuff happening. It's a chaotic world where monsters, demons and other otherworldly creatures simply became part of the daily routine, so it got mundane, everything that is categorized as bizarre or weird is more of a novelty to them.
It's slightly more advanced than our world, people are definitely stronger and have a tendency to develop super powers everytime they get closer to death.
Some of the stuff this universe deals with:
Sanguines - Your average vampire but not that average, they're really harmless and helped a good chunk of humanity in the old age, they helped to develop some of this universe medicine (which made people live longer and that's why they're slightly more advanced).
The Gigantomachy - A crazy scientist after being called a scammer decided to take revenge of humanity, so he started to make huge creatures (yeah, Giants) and a huge war started where most of the countries united against it.
The Fuschia Cholera - A mysterious illness that made crystals burst through people's body, but made their eyes pink so it's cool :D.
Magnis - Basically Imortal creatures that are made with dead bodies that are used for wars and Black Ops (but supposedly those who contract them don't know about their origins and firmly believe they're just normal people built different).
Immortallem - A hidden organization that is trying to unite humanity through genocide and unification of all races, faiths and beliefs.
Null Factor - Another organization but this one believes humanity needs to evolve slowly, so they basically try to control the course of humanity through lies, exploitation and forms of soft power. And they usually kill or try to control magical/super powered beings.
And there's a bunch of demons, otherworldly creatures, people who are reincarnation of gods, people that can turn into monsters, extra dimensional beings, cursed weapons and most of the superstitions are kinda true.
Oh and destiny itself can mess with your life if he doesn't vibe with you or your family.
I dare to say that Ltw is probably a dystopia in some degrees, it's really bizarre and I like to mess with cartoon/tv/anime tropes.
Question for both, What's your favorite trait (both psychical and personality) in eachother?
"His eyes for sure, they like ocean, I can get lost in them for hours. Although I adore his scars in similar way?
But his favourite trait personality wise?
I'm not sure, there is lot I admire in Jonathan, but I say... His loyalty, once you get his trust, you can be sure he will move earth and heaven for you."
"I like Jagna's hair, I like the vibrant red she chooses to dye it, it highlights her warmth personality. I also love it's texture, soft and puffy, it's nice to play with it, I often do it absent mindedly.
And when it comes to her personality?
Her patients...... I know I'm not the easiest man to love and to stand by, so even now I have my moments of pulling away. The way she just smiles and stays by me dispitemy eccentric behaviours.... It's nice..... I still don't understand how someone can be so understanding with me, but I will cherish that fact forever."

what kinds of ties do the kingdoms/ruling bodies/ of species/just species generalle outside of humans and demons have with eachother? o-: i know harpies hate the fae but e.g how do unicorns feel about merfolk? how do different cultures feel about the dragons?
here’s the general groupings!
- humans, demons, centaurs, sphinxes: these are the common mainland species that all get along swell, minus demons. unicorns occasionally come in on deliveries and they’re a normal, welcome sight. another common human attitude is fear of other species’s power in comparison.
- human kings, high daemon, angels, elves, harpies: royals! they respect eachother but often have an egotism about each of them. angels are highly respected though hardly seen, they on the other hand are paranoid and hateful of everything. harpies rarely interact with anything but trumpet horns and unicorn/merfolk
- beast species tend to get along. they all respect trumpet horns (true dragons). grimms hate unicorns, sphinxes and most other things. most ppl are scared of beasts and big monstery animals in general
- no one likes vampires and werewolves except vampires and werewolves. even if you’re benefiting from them, they’re scavengers to hold at arms length
- merfolk and unicorns are tight! they date across species a lot bc of their proximity and unicorns are the only ones who know what merfolk look like.
- no one trusts fae, unless they’re greedy, selfish or otherwise manipulative
- trumpet horns are widely respected and seen as the true children of abaddon and auberon bc of their form. false dragons, basically any other dragon ish thing, are treated as normal animals. dangerous and pesky!
Im new to rwby and i'm kinda confused on the concept of semblances, so I was wondering if could explain them to me. If it's not too much trouble
Hello friend!! In some way I’m much the same, as I’ve only been into the fandom for a little over a month now--I was confused at probably a lot of the same things as you were, so let me see if I can explain, but first I do need to quickly explain auras (as they are intrinsically connected subjects).
In Remnant, every living thing has something called an aura; think of it as a more obvious manifestation of one’s soul (in a way). It’s a little like an HP bar in a video game, acting both like a passive barrier against damage and an energy reserve for a person’s semblance (more on that below)--the more damage a person takes during battle, the more of their aura they temporarily deplete. Once their aura is completely depleted, they are left to little more then their body’s own natural defense against damage.
In other words, if your aura is full and someone slices you with a sword, you won’t inherently get cut. However, if your aura has been depleted in one way or another, you will likely get a physical injury from that attack.
Outside of passive barriers, people can also use their aura to power their semblance, which is often seen as a more physical and sometimes visible manifestation of a person’s aura and personal character. Basically, it’s their unique superpower! For example, Ruby has super speed, Yang has super strength, Weiss can use glyphs and Blake can create temporary duplications of herself.
There is a short lore video about auras and semblances made by Rooster Teeth, and you can watch it here!
You can also read the fandom’s wiki page about semblance; it goes into deeper detail but be warned, there be spoilers afoot!
dw about this if you want to reveal it in the comic! but whats w the cats on the pillar in hatchfiend & tre? very curious of the tigery one
i won’t go too indepth since i’m gonna explain them in chapter 2 when i get to it~!
but! the tiger is called The-tiger. he’s the founder and gifted abilities to the housecats in the neighborhood he was brought into, originally being someones illegal pet purchase that escaped
him and the other 3 cats are literally called the pillars, each representing a point of the cats history and a specific set of values each. the blue one is robin call, the first definitive leader and a model for all future cats to strive for. the next is white berry who was almost leader alongside cross roads (the current leader) but died young bc of his hubris. the last is rock teeth who’s on the bottom of the first page, he was technically the first leader but robin did far more for actually establishing a community!
Okay so abt Manifests (Merle etc etc) do they function off a form of arcane magic? Are they physical real beings? What strange properties do they with hold?
manifests are real beings and physical but it’s super tenuous~! the sand god really shouldn’t have this kind of creating life ability in the first place so manifests existing is just inherently reality bending and not all their bodies can stay physical too long.
thanks to rewrites, arcane magic is now just the absence of element. it’s the baseline ability that when paired with an element, is funneled and locked into that form only. so fire magic, u can only do things with fire ect. whereas magic with no element becomes arcane, and can create anything as a tangible illusion that’s not 100% there. likewise corruption is the death of the element bc of trauma, it kills any elemental/other use of the magic and can only create illusions relating to the initial trauma.
manifests are both arcane and corruption going haywire. they don’t have elements, nothing roping them in but they are the symbolic form of a traumatic event just like corruption is. any specific reality bending effects/powers they have are hyper specific to their personality and event
