I mean, I’m not exactly a scholar and everyone at Hogwarts insists on talking to me about the future right now, so it’s not as if I’m especially attached to school—but I am attached to the people in it. There’s some sentimentality too, but mostly I don’t want to be out there in the world if they’re all stuck back here and I can’t protect them, yeah? Besides, detention’s not that terrible. I’d rather not have it and it can be boring as shit—I’ve had some good ones, which I bet you didn’t expect to hear detention described as—but if the alternative is abandoning the crew, then no dice.
