18. have you ever changed fields in your career or education? Oh boy. Yeah? I went from child care (nurseries, day cares, summer programs, after school programs working with 2 month olds to 13 year olds including creating and teaching lesson plans and full educational programs), to restaurants (worked kitchen, expo window, food runner, server, seater, dishie/busser, barback), to invoicing/payroll at a motorcycle shop, to call center work (natural gas company, virtual receptionist, taking reservations for state camping), to retail (disney store, year-round costume shop), to barista work (sbux and a small local shop), to where I am now in private security and systems monitoring. I would say yeah I've changed fields in my career some.
As for education, I was a theatre major with an art minor but I didn't last more than a couple of semesters before dropping out. I was 16-18, working part time while also taking 32-36 hours of class credit a semester with very little control over my transportation or life. If I were to go back now, I'd probably go for photography (hobbyist) and something more stable I could do in an office alone.
27. what's your favourite household chore? God. I don't fucking know. A lot of people hate laundry for some reason that I don't get? You toss clothes in, walk away and do other stuff, come back to change to the dryer (or hang up to dry depending) and walk away to do more stuff, boom laundry's done. Oh, you have to fold and put them away? Okay, put on a tv show or video and watch while you work. Easy. Probably laundry the more I think about it. I wouldn't mind cleaning dishes if the texture of wet soggy...mess didn't make my skin crawl

8. Favorite time of the day and why? There's this stretch of time between about 2am - 5am that is just.... Perfect. I love it. The world around me is quiet. It's dark. It's peaceful. I can go for a walk and not worry about cars, the weather has a nice chill to it. I love those hours. 13. If you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about? FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK. i've actually been researching some timelines of when corporations started mass producing pride merchandise to sell in department and cheap stores in relation to [redacted] that I think is kind of fascinating in how it has led fandom culture to where it is now. It's something I'm still writing but I do plan to post it here when I finish and I hope people will share it around.

2. Movie I watched most recently and what I thought of it? Surprising even myself, Mission Impossible 7. My buddy Epi and I have been doing a cultural exchange where I show her heavily curated anime series I think she'd like, and she's taken me through the Mission Impossible series because I'd only seen the first one back when it came out [redacted] years ago. It was fun! A much better paced chase sequence then the previous one. They really need to let Ethan kiss his boyfriends though PLEASE.
3. What are you looking forward to right now? Getting off work in about 4 hours, going home, and either loading into marvel rivals maps to practice some support, or grinding Kingdom Hearts before my next stream tomorrow night. I haven't felt excited about video games in a while, it feels like, and I'm really enjoying learning a new hero and returning to KH after so many years! 15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot? pulls out the megaphone holds it up STOP PUTTING YOUR REAL NAME AND FACE AND INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET FREELY. THESE COMPANIES WANT YOUR INFORMATION TO NOT ONLY SELL YOUR DATA TO ADVERTIZING, BUT TO HOLD ONTO FOR WHO KNOWS WHAT.
STOP POSTING PHOTOS OF YOURSELF OUTDOORS WHERE IT'S EASY TO FIGURE OUT WHERE YOU ARE. STOP POSTING WITH YOUR REAL GOVERNMENT NAME AND AGE. Internet safety and anonymity has NEVER been more important than it is right now. Please PLEASE take care of your own safety. Separate your accounts! Stop linking everything you do online to your real name! I was reading a post earlier about a teenager whose parents want her to delete her ao3 account. How'd they find out? Because she had it linked to her discord that her sister found. STOP DOING THAT. I think, just in general, stop giving information about your life so freely. Every time a coworker talks about requesting time off, they'll put everything in the request off form and then wonder why they didn't get it approved. THEY DON'T NEED TO KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO A CONVENTION/PARTY/OUT OF TOWN/CONCERT/WHATEVER. Just say you're unavailable! That's ALL your management needs to know! If they ask what you're doing, even casually, just say it's your personal business! 16. What's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago? That coworker that keeps interrupting you during your training to ask you random questions and just seems weird and aggressive? They're going to become one of your best friends. They are training you in odd ways because it's how this office works in real time. They are going to become like the younger sibling you never had and you are going to ride or die for them. Don't spend the first two months hating them. They're great.

10. Honestly, nothing specific? I listen to a little of everything. I carpool my entire week and the playlist we put together for my car is really eclectic so I hear a little of everything! Nothing specific has een in my head though.
Edit: Okay to be real though, I have been listening a lot to punk/crusty punk and video game music today specifically.

3: What are you looking forward to right now? Sounds low stakes, but I'm SO looking forward to my toasty warm bed here shortly <3 It's about 3C here in my bedroom right now so it'll be perfect when I climb in.
10. Do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that? I loosely follow baseball when it's in season. Not because I have any team loyalty or anything, but because baseball sometimes is HILARIOUS. Like recently, the major US league got some new manufacturer or something (my memory is bad, I forgot how exactly this started) that used a different material than they normally use that was so thin, you could. Literally see eeeeeeeverything. Hilarious. Also there's Big Dumper to follow as well, and the Ohtani drama never stops giving.
I usually follow soccer/futbol, but only during FIFA season. I have very fond memories of @lilhiro6 and I rooting for Ghana during that season. Though it's good to know when my local team is playing so I know when to avoid the train.
I used to follow college basketball but got out of the habit when I stopped having cable to watch it. But I still check scores when UNC plays Duke.
13. What's something you learned recently? How easy it is to make a sourdough starter a couple of hours ago, actually! I made bread myself a few years ago but it was a yeast white bread. I've never had a sourdough starter and I'm honestly considering starting one myself. I miss fresh baked bread.
