i do!!!! i haven't thought much about AITSF after streaming it and the sequel but like. i feel like what you've got there really well shows just how much more potential can be drawn out from some of the loose threads left untied in the games' various timelines, And Also how much of a rich internal world/dialogue Date in particular would have (which I feel like gets a little bit lost sometimes in the game proper among the Anime Shenaniganry he gets up to). and with Annihilation Route in particular, like... it's really fascinating to go "wait. but the world doesn't End here. so, what else?" and just

I do fully believe that staff unfairly targets transfems on this site and it's total bullshit how many innocent transfems have had their blogs nuked, but yay-bunnies was making posts about "killing all t-boys" and being super transandrophobic

sigh. am i boo-boo the fool for giving this message the time of day? possibly. and yet. i persist in trying my best to assume good faith first. so here we go.

here's my thing, yeah?

this is nothing new if you know me: i personally really dislike/am uncomfortable with any rhetoric that appears to call for killing entire categories of people, regardless of where it comes from. it's imo a really fucking unfortunate behavioral trend that I've been seeing a lot of in recent months and I do deeply wish that my fellow transfems would abandon that particular way of venting and find a better way to phrase their frustrations and stresses and trauma. i'm not excusing anyone of that.

that being said. at least from a brief check of bun's blog, the closest thing I'm seeing to your first claim is bun responding in a vaguely-positive way to an anon obviously jokingly saying their bunnies killed all tboys w/ their floppy ears power or whatever. is it a Good Joke? in my opinion, no! would i respond well to that kind of joke in my inbox? also no! but crucially: i also have not been consistently getting poked at, harrassed, and slurred at in my inbox. i have been lucky enough to not be constantly at my wit's end from people looking to explicitly put me out of my comfort zone.

i don't Endorse that kind of talk. but we also have to bear in mind where that frustration comes from. because I can practically guarantee you it's not from nowhere, and I don't believe things would have escalated to this point if people would just leave bun the fuck alone and stop trying to get a rise out of her.

i am not the right person to talk to on claims of transandrophobia. imo it's an incoherent term that, far as I can tell, purports to serve the same purpose as transmisogyny without an understanding what that Actually Means. misandry/androphobia is not a coherent social force in a way that even resembles misogyny, and as such it can't be meaningfully synthesized into a term describing an intersectional axis of oppression.

notably, i am Not saying that transmascs do not face their own Specific Issues separately from those of transfems. however, I would encourage you to abandon the idea of "transandrophobia" as a descriptive term, because a pretty uncomfortable amount of the rhetoric I've seen under that banner seems to focus its lens specifically on Targetting Transfems Who Are Too Mean Online moreso than doing anything productive to bolster the rights of transmascs and trans folks in general.

i hope this all makes sense. idk. im not A Smart Person, i'm not Strongly Educated in all this shit. i'm tired and fruatrated but i'm. trying. to learn and do my best to understand shit.

end of the day, i just fuckin want people to be patient and kind with each other. and failing that, at the very least, just...give each other space and don't fucking harrass other people. we're all having a hard fucking time. we gotta not dedicate energy to making it harder on others where possible. please. for me? 💙

oh gosh uh. I can try!! No promises it'll be anything Substantial though cuz uh. i am Not renowned for my character/narrative analysis skills ksjdsld

Lloyd: I'm certainly more invested in him than I was at the start of the game but it def took some time to get there. I love how he was Immediately dad-mode ride-or-die with KeA. I'm pretty tickled by the moments where the gang jabs at him repeatedly for being an unintentional/oblivious casanova, not least of all because of how he gradually gets more and more exasperated about the whole thing. Lloyd x Randy is 100% my OTP in this game, they're just really good together. I think the character arc of learning to step out of the shadow of his brother and become great on his own merits was good and sorely needed.

Elie: she's. idk, unfortunately still just kind of a Nothing character to me right now. Her heals are good? I'm a little shocked by how little I have to say honestly which sucks. I hope she gets more interesting in Azure. Like I don't Hate her by any means but. she didn't stand out much to me either?

Tio: My little blue techy-gremlin who i cherish. This series loves its heavily traumatized hyper-intelligent little gals huh. Her snark is so fun and the cold exterior makes the moments where she finally emotionally open up hit like an orbal delivery truck. We better get to take her to the theme park in Azure I swear to aidios

Randy: MY FUCKIN GUYYYYYYY look ever since I played persona 4 in high school I have been such a sucker for the Best Bro character. Also like. I'm not gonna lie to you. The way his normally cheery upbeat voice goes all dark and deadly serious when executing Death Scorpion? Kinda hot. It's giving Kevin when his voice lines change in a similar way in Trails 3rd yknow. Also his power-up moment during the IBC Defense mission was So fucking hype dude.

Noel: SEEKER SISTER YAYYYYYY. She's kinda the Great Value Anelace of this arc for me honestly. nice to have around, I like her lots!

Wazy: i need to study you. what aren't you telling me because i know for damn sure it's A Lot. can't wait to hopefully see this twink express some Actual Emotions eventually in Azure.

Dudley: After being kind of a pain in the ass for most of the game, his turnaround to actually being fairly likeable felt surprisingly well-executed. also. it must be said. JUSTICE HAMMAAAA

Yin: ooooohoohoohoo I am looking forward to seeing how the unholy fuck Lloyd handles The Reveal about Yin's identity. like I'm sure it'll be Fine but. is it gonna have Sauce. I'm thoroughly stunned by Yin's sense of Professionalism on the job, frankly. also GOD it was satisfying to smackdown on some trash mobs w/ Exploding Talismans, and their high-level Space Art fuckin CLEANED HOUSE in the Ernest fight.

Estelle: IT'S MY FRIEND ESTELLE BRIGHT FROM TRAILS IN THE SKY! always a delight whenever she's on screen. her character art in the new style reallllllly threw me off for a bit but I eventually got used to it i think. I thought the fact that she learned her dad's S-Craft in between games was super sweet and cute. Her scene with Renne at the end squeezed multiple tears out of me. I love her dearly.

Joshua: Josh's new portrait art also threw me off. I still don't like it shdksjd. At this point he kind of feels to me a bit like he's done all the character development he needs to and has now sublimated into being A Part of Estelle like.....you know how male anglerfish fuse to the females? Like that. And it's Fine. He's There and I don't begrudge him but he does feel a little bit....i dunno, almost surperflouous in the same way Elie feels to me? Kinda static i guess? Hard to quite pin down.

heya!!! took a break for a while after 3rd, cuz I started Zero and realized I think I burned myself out a lil bit dashing through the first three like I did. came back this month at the start of Ch 1, and am now in the start of Ch 2 of Zero! It hasn't fully gripped me yet like the Sky games have, BUT ☝️ I have it on good authority from a couple friends that it's possibly their favorite Trails game, if not even their top Game Of All Time, so. I'm holding out hope that it gets Interesting kahdksks
