Hi everyone,

With the summer season and the ending of many series, I’m finally catching up with old whumps’ lists, in particular:

* As already stated here, I’ve completed the final seasons of The Flash, Titans and Endeavor and updated the whumps lists; I’ve completed Carnival Row as well and it’s online;

* the lists from current, but not broadcasted at moment, series are all updated; The Blacklist’s tenth and final season is airing and updated to the last episode as well;

* I have to update the second season of Tale of the Nine-Tailed which is currently being aired under the name “1938″ as a prequel and I will binge watch it once fully broadcasted;

* I have done a whumpslist for the first season of Will Trent and the books by Karin Slaughter the TV show is based on, I'm still undecided whether to publish it or wait to complete them all. What would you prefer?;

* I’ve recently posted some new K-lists: Insider, Doctor Lawyer and updated Taxi Driver with the second season; I’ve also (FINALLY) completed the list for The K2, it will be posted in a couple of days; viceversa, it’s already online the whumpslist of Citadel but I really didn’t liked the show itself, many things were off...

As my plans for future binge watching and whumps’ lists:

* Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan new season will be released soon as the third season of The Witcher (I promise I have started to watch the second season of it and updating the list) which will be the last one I will do if it is true that Henry Cavill will no longer wear the clothes of Geralt of Rivia;

* I have The Musketeers list to complete (only a bunch of episodes left to review), and two seasons and half of The Last Ship;

* i have selected many K-dramas I want to watch this summer, I don’t know if any of them are worth of a whumpslist but I certainly hope so!

Has the whump community gotten a hold of Lockwood and Co yet? if not y’all need to run to netflix rn!!!Anthony Lockwood is the PERFECT whumpee, but plenty goes around! not to mention there’s found family, hurt/comfort, angst, self sacrifice, tragic backstories, reckless boy with no self care, torture, electrocution, sword fights, ghosts can and will kill you (or put you into a coma), girl who can save the world and the boy who would die for her, gunshot wound, collapsing and needing to be supported, unconsciousness, powers are a burden… i could go on honestly

Ah, my little me was SO in love with Remington Steele and enjoyed the sporadic whumps everytime they popped up! I made the gifs a while ago, I’m sorry I don’t remember where I retrieved the episode to do the gifset.

I’m sorry for my lack of answers, I’m trying to keep up with the current airing whumps’ lists but also completing the finished shows’ one and the new seasons’ episodes’ ones:

* The current airing shows’ lists are all updated: Law & Order SVU, The Flash, Magnum PI, Taxi Driver; I’ll soon watch Carnival Row and update it with the first two episodes aired as well;

* I am doing a whumpslist for Will Trent, which is currently airing, and the books by Karin Slaughter the TV show is based on, I'm still undecided whether to publish it or wait to complete them all. What would you prefer?;

* I have to update the Titans' list with the first part of the fourth season;

* I’ve finally updated the Prodigal Son's list with the second season (I will reblog it right after this post); The Boys' one has already been updated with the third season;

* I’ve recentely updated Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan and Strike (TV show and books) too, and posted a new K-list, The Veil;

* I have started to watch the second season of The Witcher (I’ve watched the prequel Blood Origin and enjoyed it so much);

* I have K-drama The K-2 list to complete from... forever, I will gather my courage to finish it and goodbye one of my favorite character; same for The Musketeers, only a bunch of episodes left to review...

Have you ever seen doctor who or torchwood? cuz they have a lot of whump, especially jack harkness

Doctor Who would take an eternity to be watched from the first episode, besides it’s not my kind of show so I’ve never watched it. Neither Torchwood, and that’s because I don’t like John Barrowman very much.

You’re mistaken, @the-true-alpha-04, I’ve never watched nor compiled a list for it neither I will do it in the future, sorry @rachealwolf25.

Nope, as I’ve already answered it several times: I will not do a list for SEAL Team, I've only made a gifset for episode 2.17. Despite the potential, it’s pretty lacking in whumps (even if the last season had some improvements). The ones shown are widely reviewed in The Whumpapedia, though.

Do you know any good Chloro Man scenes from shows?

Interesting trope, Anon! Not one of my kind, so I can’t really recall some specifically, but I report it in my lists when it happens. Maybe you can use a selected filter to serch it into The Whumpapedia, though.

Could you do whump lists of…Forever, TVD, The originals, Legacies and other crime sci-fi shows?

It’s highly unlikely it will happen, sorry @anonymous-persona, especially the vampire shows, because of the immortality things, whumps are almost pointless...

What was your whump awakening?

I've answered this question a while ago, in this post.

To briefly answer your inquiry:

* the VERY FIRST whump awakening: Captain James Kirk (William Shatner), episode 2.10 “Journey to Babel”;

* the FIRST ANIME one: Hiroshi Shima (Steel Jeeg), episode 26.

I'll add my FIRST MANGA whump now: Johnny Hardley of "Mayme Angel" manga by Yumiko Igarashi. In the edition I first read, he was named Ronny, so he will always be Ronny to me.

Trying to remember the show and episode for a whump scene. American show where a female regular is in a lodge with male guest star. Male guest star is a baddy but he gets shoot. Female contacts back up via a smart phone or iPad and gets medical help. Ends up treating bad guy. Winter season. Episode ends on a snowy roadway. Any help?

I can only think to "Mr and Mrs Mazikeen Smith" episode 3.03 of Lucifer. The guest male character is portrayed by Chris McKenna. Let me know if it's the right whump scene ;) @friedblizzardexpert

Hey, I was wondering, what are some tv shows with the most injuries for the male main character.

Hello. It has been a while you asked me this question, and I got busy but also I needed to think about it.

I watched, binge watched and watching a bunch of shows over the years so I wanted to really think about the most whumpy series I’ve ever seen in my serial series watcher career ;)

I would also want to invite everyone passing by to submit his/her preferences and suggestions.

So, here’s my list, the order is random as they all are full of whumps for the main character:

* DAREDEVIL and Matt Murdoch character: the series is TOP, literally full of whumps; while compiling the list, there wasn’t a single episode for which I’ve written “none”. But mainly all the Marvel shows are pretty much whumpy.

* STRIKE and Cormoran Strike character: he has a permanent disability, so he’s frequently in pain, plus he’s a detective and has an eventful life with risks and fights; few episodes but extremely enjoyable.

* PRODIGAL SON and Malcolm Bright character: he’s at best reckless, unaware of self-preservation and hunted by night terrors; I still have to begin the second season, I hope it keeps up from the first.

* THE WITCHER and Geralt di Rivia character: epic fights and legendary character, there’s not an episode whump free whatsoever.

* WARRIOR and Ah Sahm character: he’s constantly fighting and bruised, even when he wins, and the whumps mostly last.

* ALTERED CARBON and Takeshi Kovacs character: I’ve watched only the first season because of the actor (Joel Kinnaman) and it was awesome. For the same reason, I recommend HANNA (Erik Heller character) too.

* brief but intense single seasons for THE CAPE and THE PLAYER.

* PENNYWORTH and Alfred Pennyworth character: how is it possible I was forgetting Pennyworth?! First season was generous of whumps, both physical and emotional, but second season is loaded of whumps! I’m enraptured.

* last but not least, TAKEN and Bryan Mills character: especially, the second season is full, unfortunately the whumps are so many they’re unbelievable.

For my convenience, I basically scrolled between the whumps’ lists already compiled.

Just, please, remember the focus of the question: a series which is plenty of whumps for the main male character. So I haven’t considered collective shows (such as Supernatural or Shadowhunters, in which the whumps are distributed to all characters) but shows concentrated solely on the leading actor and with whumps in every episode.

hello, i was wondering if you could help me. I cant remember if it was on your page or not but i was looking for an international drama (cant remember where exactly, i'm think maybe european??) and it was about two detectives/police officers and one of them gets shot like 3 times or something and then the doctor tries to kill him during surgery but the partner comes in and stops it/saves him? i also know he had a young son and maybe a short name? like 2 letters or something? pls help haha

Hey, oh my god your last post was amazing! I really love your account and your lists! And now I've finally got some more shows to watch 😄

I'd still like to ask if you also know some series/scenes with a hidden injury, or one that's really obvious since he's stumbling, sweating, having bad sleep etc, and a worried person asks him to get some rest, but he just gets mad, saying he's fine and keeps going, until it gets worse or starts bleeding again, and him stumbling or even collapsing. If you don't know one of those, hidden emotional whump is also great, such as often asking "you alright" and he's just saying he's fine, but having nightmares etc, like in the current winter soldier episodes, I absolutely love those scenes, with worried falcon and even the therapist 🥺 Thank you 😊

I totally agree with this trope! Right now, I remember a nice episode of The Cape in which he hides his injuries from his team. A couple of them are into Chicago Med with Will Halsted episode 5.01 (giffed in part 1 and part 2) and Ethan Choi in episode 6.07. Lovely episode 4.15 of Bull too! And the last episodes of season 1 of Hanna are loaded with whumps, with Erik hiding his fatal wound from his daughter. And a nice full 1.10 episode of The Resident.
