Yooooo, did somebody say 10th Kingdom. I loved that movie as a kid. I would rent it all the time from my town's offbrand Blockbuster, and when they closed we were able to buy it. The sheep competition was the best scene tbh
yoooooo yes I sure did
Bo Peep town is probably my favorite part as well, also all the parts with the troll siblings bc they are hilariously stupid
We have a DVD set and it’s only in fullscreen so when we watch it its a little square
I hear tho that they released it on blu ray and i gotta go get my hands on it bc it is seriously one of my favorite (10 hour long) movies and I need it in dazzling HD quality (er, as HD as you can get for it being like 16 years old)
*slides in outta nowhere* wait, if this au would technically predate episodes 13-14, how can we explain PandaBubba's appearance (XC ep 6) if he orginally appears in XS episode 18? It's unlikely Rai would know about him (unless Wuya found info after killing 1/2 the planet) as he was only famous in Hong Kong. (also who is Chase Young in this context. did Wuya fangirl over him once and rai went "wait, hold it. this could be good for my show")
maybe he tried striking some sort of deal with Wuya (before probably being struck down)? “I can take over Hong Kong for you”/etc ffs PB she doesn’t need you
also hELL YES nerd Wuya is gr8 bUT……now that you mention it………what about another au where Rai & Chase ultimately team up to destroy Wuya? Rai’s finally learned to feel regret but can’t really do anything on his own, Chase (more-or-less) has the means of defeating her but no access to her. team up and take her down
Apparently it's for headaches??? I don't know why they would repeat an annoying phrase THREE TIMES in a HEADACHE RELIEVING COMMERCIAL THO.
arE YOU FUCKIN––,,
what the actual hell were the creators of that commercial on jfc
Who hates Lice Capade??? And how??? That episode had so much (hatless Craig, Clyde being a dork, the boys standing up for each other at the end [sort of]) The only thing that was questionable was how everyone went against Kenny (even though the Sock Bath was a lot more harmless than they put it at first)
Idk, a lot of people seemed to review it as something they didn’t like. I loved it for the same reasons!!
ask-pigpeter answered to your photoset “Master Fung doesn’t even give Rai a chance to try again. I might be...”
This was probs one of the worst ways to set up tension in the later parts of the ep. Omi is unfairly prefering of Country music and that's why he likes Clay better
Omi has a cowboy bias. Excellent!
You’re right about the tension. They could of set it up better. The whole episode looked like it was this redemptive thing for Rai but done in a way where he had to prove he was capable. He was already on the same level as the other monks but their different ranks made them blind to this and then there was still this sense of distrust. Maybe the episode should of played off that. Started with actually exploring the impact of Rai’s betrayal on the group and how he earns that trust back. They tried to show that with Rai’s speech about everyone just giving him a chance and trusting him again, but honestly how exactly had he earned that trust back? With locking Wuya in the puzzle box? Yeah, this was Rai fixing his mistake and that’s great and all but you’d have to do more then that to earn back trust after ending the world. At least that’s how I feel.
And what about the team actually trying to understand why he flipped? It just didn’t seem like the other monks even knew why Rai went Heylin. They just chalked it up to greed and laziness but there was more to it then that.
I just would of liked to explore that more. Have everyone dealing with the subtler ramifications of Rai’s actions and not have it all swept under the rug and never spoken of again. There was so much potential and once again it was pushed aside just to keep things simple.
