"OH...MY...ARCEUS...YOU'RE HUGE!" It seems he still in a bit shock after meeting a certain giant bug he encountered earlier... "S-sorry...it's just...I still have some...recent thoughts...ughhh..." his head feels a little bit heavy.
"I just not used to communicate with anyone else well, except my kind and friends...
Anyways, what is the "New World" you're talking about? I mean...legendaries..." He wants to add more but he lost in thought.
“Hmm, I suppose you wouldn't know,” Larimar mused, mulling over the question. “It’s a bit complex, and it has to do with the history of my home realm.” Maybe for other legends it would be a rough topic, but luckily for her, she hadn't been there, still an egg at the bottom of the ocean.
“To make a long as hell story short, the apocalypse happened. The event we call The Shattering was, quite literally, the end of the world. The old Arceus’ ring shattered, and those pieces fell to the earth, infecting anything they touched. Land and sea became infected and ill, while plants, pokemon, and people alike would mutate and morph into grotesque forms. Not even legends were spared, though some had ways to counteract the shards' effects and escape unscathed.”
“So, when we say New World legends, we refer to deities who came to be after The Shattering ended. Me and my wife are two prime examples, alongside… most of the other legends, now that I think about it. The term Old World legends mean the opposite; it refers to the few legendaries who managed to survive The Shattering. Geode, our Zygarde, is a prime example, and one of the most well known ones. Off the top of my head, I can think of maybe two others who survived? And that’s not counting those who survived but then died later on.”
“Anyway, Old World gods are highly respected, and generally got a big power boost after everything was over. Geode themselves became a worldly god instead of an earthly one after our new Arceus took over. That basically means that, wherever in the universe there is life and death, Geode will be there.”
