I wouldn’t say he’s so much a hugger but he does frequently use contact to show affection, most commonly though gentle head butts or nuzzles.
He is v soft, covered in fur, it’s warm too. Odol used to like curling up under his cloak, specially when it rained.
He’s got a very gentle disposition, and while he seems ruthless in battle it’s mostly because he just wants it to be over with. Because of his mind powers he finds it difficult not to be empathetic. He also used to lead a village, so he’s well practiced with managing and taking responsibility.
He never had a lot of time for personal hobbies, but he frequently meditates to keep his head clear.
