I was given this tiny pumpkin and was inspired by ask-tinycas ( jennilah's rp blog). I was going to do Cas' but as a few people had done his already I thought I'd try Dean's instead!!

Alright, so Tiny!Cas made me sad so I fixed it

It made me sad so I fixed it.

Hopefully it worked...

   The room was cold, and dark. The only heat Cas could feel was from right under him, emitting from Dean. As his normal-sized boyfriend slept underneath the tiny angel, Cas couldn’t help but think back on the past few days. He wanted nothing more than to be the same size as Dean again, to be able to make dumb dandelion wishes in a field on a nice summer day, with a picnic set up for him and Dean to enjoy. He wanted to be able to fight again, to be able to make everything right. But more than anything, he wants this- this right here- to be different. He wants to be able to lay his head on Dean’s chest, to have one hand intertwined with Dean’s, legs tangled together as they slept- but instead- he was stuck so small a bird could eat him if it wanted to.

    Thoughts began to fill his tiny head. Thoughts that hurt him inside and out.

‘What if I’m always stuck like this? What if I never get to be full size again? What if I never get the chance to hold Dean like that? Never able to love him the way I want to? W-what if he…’ A tear slid down his cheek and all the terrifying thoughts coursing through his mind.

‘What if I do make it back to normal, but- bit its- what if I’m-’ Clutching Dean’s shirt in his small hand, Cas began to cry.

    Before he could think of anything else to depress him, he could feel Dean’s chest rumble underneath him, as Dean began to speak.

    “Cas…? You okay? I thought I heard you crying… What happened?” Dean asked, grazing his thumb over Cas’ feathers.

    “D-Dean…! I… I didn’t know you were awake…”

    “Cas. What’s eating at ya’? Why are you crying?”

    “I-its nothing, Dean. Go back to sleep…”

    “Nothing, my ass. You only cry when things get bad, so what the hell’s happened?” Cas sighed.

    “I… I just, got thinking… About everything… Again… And I guess I just… Got back in that bad place again…” Cas could feel the deep sigh that came from Dean, before they were both sat upright, Cas still cradled in Dean’s hand.

    Cas didn’t bother asking what Dean was doing, just let it happen as Dean got up from his bed, and made his way to the bedroom door, tiny angel still in hand. He focused on the booming thumps of Dean’s heart beats as they made their way through the bunker, and outside. To Cas, they were loud, but comforting. He felt somewhat at ease knowing that, despite his worries and fears, Dean was still here now, still able to give some fragment of hope.

Cas was finally set free from his passive mental state when Dean plopped down in the middle of their field, laying down to look up at the sky. Cas rolled over and placed his tiny hands over Deans large one, and gazed up, too. The sky was clear, not a single cloud, and because of the secluded area, the two of them could make out every star they could without a telescope. The moon was full, sitting in the center of everything, and Cas felt happy. The calming sound of crickets chirping in the background was soon broken by Dean’s voice.

“Cas, you know you mean everything to me, right? I don’t care if you’ve got wings and a halo, or that you can’t fight anymore. It doesn't matter that I can’t hold you, or kiss you the way that I know we both want to. I don’t care if you stay like this till the day I die, it won’t change anything. It won’t change your laugh, your smile. It won’t change your curiosities about humanity, it won’t, change your love for burgers, and coffee. And, dammit, it sure as hell won’t change the fact that I love you, no matter what we go through, you hear me? So quit worrying about it, alright? Everything's gonna be okay, no matter what, you got me? Just, quit dreading the future, and enjoy now, with me, because that's what we have, and you know what? I like it. I like it just as much as I would like it if you were bigger. Hell, I’d like it a lot more if you were actually happy for once instead of pretending all the time. So… Lets work on that, alright? We’re gonna work on making you happy with what we got, okay?” Dean could feel a slight dampness as Cas started crying again, clutching to Dean’s finger.

“O-okay…” Dean kissed the top of Cas’ head.

“You know I love you, right? Because sometime I- I feel like I don’t say it enough, ya’ know?”

“You say it enough, Dean… I- I love you, too… Very much…”

The two of them lay there for a while, just enjoying each others company for what seemed like forever. Each star seemed to shine just a bit brighter, and the light from the moon felt warmer, even though it shouldn’t. Everything was perfect, and then a question broke the silence.

“How about we start with your birthday.” Dean asked, and Cas froze, not knowing what to say.
