(Ignore if this isn't allowed) I have a question for Jeimos. Do you miss the technologies in Damijana? Is it hard for your people to live the country life?
Jeimos responds, "What a difficult question! In many ways, yes, I quite miss the convenience that Damijani technology offers. Indoor plumbing is something I'll never take for granted again, let me tell you! These bloody nymphs make life so needlessly frustrating with all their rules. Pointless, arbitrary rules! They don't even know what technology is capable of, so how can they shun it altogether? If only they would let me, I could turn Drifter's Hollow into a clean, efficient utopia using nothing but the power of the sun and wind!
On the other hand, I never realized how overstimulating Damijana was until I left. It's just so...quiet, out here in the Forest of Refuge. Damijana was never quiet. What I used to call "silence" was really the distant hum of traffic, industrial machines, and those blasted monorail tracks that weaved through my neighborhood. I never knew true silence, and I never knew true serenity back then. Everywhere I looked, my eyes were assaulted by advertisements and propaganda, my mind infested by petty anxieties. There's so many sights and sounds and smells that you just can't escape in that wretched iron jungle! There is simply no peace in such a place!
All things considered, I would never go back, not for all the convenience in the world. Life in the Hollow forces me to slow down and smell the roses, as they say. I believe all Damijani citizens could benefit from a little time in the wilderness. As they are, they simply wouldn't last a day out here. They'd starve to death searching for a vending machine among the trees! Luckily, I'm surrounded by wonderful friends who are always willing to lend a city-elf like me a hand."
