whats the most dangerous experiment you've ever seen?

Well, I guess that depends how you would define ‘seen’ and ‘experiment’, but…

The most dangerous official project that I’ve personally had to deal with the consequences of is a toss up between the epidemiologist who nearby released a deadly, heavily mutated species-wide virus into the ship’s atmosphere and the Black Hole Incident from back in 2032.

Also, just a reminder that I’ll be taking on all unaddressed asks as a default. If you want to talk to someone on the team directly, make sure you ask!

whats your favourite food, each of you? and drink? is there a reason why?

Due to the nature of this question, I think I’m going to have to limit this one to myself and Harvey—he’s the only other participant who regularly eats Earth food besides myself. He’s a big fan of human culture.

As for myself, I’d say my favorite food would be baklava. My dad used to make it for me when I was a kid. Drink wise, I’ll go with coffee.

I’ll pass this off to Harvey now. Since it’s just him, I’ll let him type himself.

Howdy! Harv here :) I’m a big fish kinda guy, we got a lotta similar “sea critters” back at home. so I think I’d say my favorite earth food is crab! I also really like those little fruity drinks you get at bars. My species has a really high alcohol tolerance so they’re just like normal drinks for me! 🍸

what do you guys do for fun, outside of work? any hobbies?

I guess I sort of answered this one in my last post. Though, I do some other stuff! Like, I have Steam downloaded on my work computer. I have more hours in The Stanley Parable than I’d like to admit…

Alptom: Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

Harvey: Ooh, well, I’ve always been pretty, uh, active? We have a gym on board here that I like to hang out at sometimes. I used to play a lot of sports when I was a kid, not so much anymore, but I still like to watch ‘em when I’m at home. Oh! And Earth television shows, too! I only really watch reruns, given what’s going on there right now, but you’ve made so much that I don’t think I’ll ever run out.

Alptom: What are you watching right now again?

Harvey: Aw, shoot, what was it called? The uh- it’s the one with the cat and the mouse beating each other up?

Alptom: Tom and Jerry? Like, the kids show?

Harvey: You guys show that to KIDS?

Alptom: Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

SHERI: Well, given as I can’t leave the ship, I guess there is no “outside of work,” is there?

Alptom: Ignore that part then. You know what I mean.

SHERI: Oh, I dunno… normal stuff…

Alptom: Normal stuff, normal stuff like breaking into my computer and closing every other tab just to play minesweeper?

SHERI: (laughing) Yeah! Like that!

Alptom: Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

Chuma: Well, um… I have a little garden back at home! I’d like to think I’m a good gardener, they’ve been doing pretty well! Sometimes I check out some smaller organisms from the Zoology department to feed them as a treat.

Alptom: Just clarifying—most of the flowers on Silssra Minor are carnivorous, right?

Chuma: Mhm! Usually I give them pre-made stuff from the store, but it’s always nice to give them a treat!

Patchwork: Taxidermy.

what does a day off look like for you, alptom?

It’s not much different, honestly? I live on site, so usually I just end up working anyways somehow, mostly helping others around the lab or tinkering with my own projects. Sometimes I go down to Earth to take a walk, on special occasions I’ll visit some family. I do like visiting other planets too, but leaving the lab in general can get a bit risky.

I have some other things I do when I’m bored, but I don’t exactly have a “typical” day off very often. Not that I can’t, of course, I just like working! Everything I do here (all my personal lab work at least) is a passion project. I genuinely enjoy working on it.

What's everyones favorite colors?

I’ve always been a fan of green. It reminds me of home. When I was a kid I used to lay on the grass and stare up at the trees for hours at a time… It was nice.

Harvey: Oh! Good question… I’d say I’m a yellow sorta guy. Lots of yellow back at home. It’s such a cheery color, too! I’d say a nice gold shade is my favorite. Though I’m also a fan of pale yellow, y’know, a nice sandy kinda color? Hm… Let’s go with both!

Alptom: What’s your favorite color?

SHERI: My favorite color? …I guess I’ve never thought of it. Um…. You know that color you see when you look out into space? It’s not black, but… somewhere awfully close.

Chuma: Oh, um… Hm… Probably like… red? I kinda like red. But like a really dark red!

Alptom: Like human’s blood?

Chuma: What? No. More like, uh, wine? A wine red? Yeah. Wine red!
