"i like the idea that airos life is in minos hands bc imo mino is a pretty selfish guy (not a bad or a good thing, thats just the way i percieve his personality) and thats served him well for a long time. the issue comes when airo wants to die before the virus consumes him sooner and mino lowk doesnt let him lol"
Neuron activation moment LMAOOOOOOOOO
This is a nuclear bomb right now I'm so happy 😊
But yes, while I have not read or watched the maze runner movies/books, I do know the general story and the virus. Which is very cool and yeeeeep that's so good for them. Ouh doordash duo my dearest<3
Mino's personality could also have a heavy effect on how most of the survivor group diminished slowly with the infection (it wasn't malicious, but yk actions have consequences and not everyone is ready to face them). Really, the idea of Airo wanting to book it before being fully consumed but still being forced to survive by Mino is rotating in my mind now.
Tbh one fun dynamic that could work is a mechanism of blood transfusion (kinda I'm doing some bullshiiiiiiit rn lmao), similar to Bloodborne. Some sort of syringe/ needle/ insulin like thing that can apply certain quantities of medicines mixed with blood or yk some sort of improvised "cure". Where the reason why some people have faster reactions even when receiving a support or something that can slow down the disease comes from how they adapt to the blood of immune people (Vampire system type shit idk????). So basically Mino is constantly acting as a blood bank for Airo. They're both dependent on each other.
Hmmm really just shoving Mino into the chosen one archetype role when all he wants to do is be with shawty 😭😭
Annihilation movie my Shayla, I loooooove the bear scene, but the flower people one is also soooo beautiful. Really, having part of yourself adapt to this new environment at the cost of losing your humanity/body is so fascinating. Nonconsensual body modification ❤️
The whole core of this au is a run against time basically. We got Airo who doesn't want to become a walking shell of himself and is willing to give up living if it means keeping his identity. And we got Mino, who is doing everything he can to not be alone and lose his day one connection, coming to the point his actions are doing more harm than good. Wowie this can really spin into a story about premature-grief/grieving and also like how far is someone going to do stuff if it means keeping their comfort and normalcy while everything burns down around them.
Abyss we might be really evil LMAOOOO

<EXACTLYYYY like its lowk already the case in heartless horizon, given that him reviving napa on a whim was the domino effect that leads to minos current predictament in canon. we can def see his naivety and lowk tunnel visoned world view to eb the reason alot of casualties occur

<THIS IS EVILLL but its also perfect and ties into the reccuring theme of mino not wanting to let airo go. like maybe the blood is not an outright cure per say but rather something that slows down the symptoms of the infection. so the whole blood transfusion thing is just to delay the inevitable really
