What's your most cherished memory with Grindelwald?

The first time I woke up in his arms. Our feet were tangled beneath the covers and for the first time in forever, my toes were warm when I woke up. The sun was shining through my window and I felt nothing but happiness. I felt safer in that moment than I have ever felt in my entire life. Nothing could harm me or scare me, as long I had my love beside me.

Ok I see. There's rumours that ehm, Grindelwald is kind of gay.... Did he seem... Gay.... When you met him?

Frankly I was much too concerned with having the cruciatus curse cast on me to question his sexuality.

Gellert. I went through an old trunk and I found some of your things that somehow ended up in my possession. I thought I'd send them your way. In the box I have enclosed a Durmstrang sweatshirt (which I assume is yours), a small leather potions textbook with your name on the inside cover and a labeled vial sealed with your crest. I might have been able to read the label at some point, but I've forgotten a great deal of Swedish since so the contents remain a mystery. I hope you are well. - Albus

What a shame that your Swedish is so lacking. I do hope you have not fallen behind in your other studies- I will be disappointed if you have. I know I am not there to challenge you and sharpen your mind, but that is no reason to let it stagnate. Who else would challenge me so? Returned in the box are the sweatshirt (left purposefully for you,) the vial (which, albeit mislabelled even in Swedish, contains liquid luck,) and a copy of my latest manifesto (do read it over.) The textbook I will keep. Always a pleasure to hear from you.

What do you think of when you cast a Patronus? Is it a memory related with Gellert?

No, of course not. That’s silly. 

It’s um… it’s related to my family.

Have you ever fallen in love again after Grindelwald?

I have other priorities, so no. I’m far too busy to even think of such things.

How did you meet Grindelwald ?

Well, his Aunt Bathilda was a family friend. When Aberforth and I were over at her house for tea, she introduced us to her nephew who would be staying with her for a couple months.

Professor Dumbledore, I kind of agree with the things Grindelwald is saying. You know, about not having to hide who we are anymore. I want to be able to share our world with the muggles. It could benefit both of us, you know? We could share our magic and they could share all that weird stuff they make out of metal. I don't really understand all the fuss.

It’s a complicated issue, I know. Personally, I still believe that muggles and wizards could live in a sort of harmony–although their history has shown that they really don’t like the idea of magic–eventually. The issue is, Grindelwald’s approach wants us to rule over them, sort of like gods. I don’t like this idea. It will only lead to inequity and inevitably, problems.
