Aslin Master of Karate Double IPA (Picked up at a Total Wine in Laurel, MD). A 4 of 4. Tons of hop complexity in the nose on this -- lots of more traditional citrus/pine as well as just tons of tropical fruit and some berry notes bursting out, too. The body feels somewhat simple behind all this, but it's just what the beer needs to carry the bright hop notes. Really excellent.

She's a Lily pad come to life through magic, sparkles and whatever lol. I havnt fully nailed down her personality so if anyone has like a headcannon for her 🤲 *gimme*

 this is what I think  Aslin from @petrichormeraki s Big brother AU would look like when he is older!

I like the idea that when he gets older plants are just a part of his life they grow on him and protect him. I have a head canon that when he was a toddler the boomers did a job in the jungle and through his magic he could feel everything The plants could feel after that scar made him a necklace it dampens his power significantly but at least he can’t feel the pain of plants.  of course he’s a clumsy kid so he has many scars, and he can’t have anything white. He also enjoys pandas!

The Grapeness (Manor Hill / Aslin)

Brewery : Manor Hill / Aslin Beer : The Grapeness Style : Double IPA / Imperial IPA / DIPA Variance : Brewed with Viognier Grapes 8.5 / 10

Man, I didn’t realize so many breweries experimented with grapes in their beer until this month but I am absolutely loving it. Well, I guess two breweries isn’t necessarily “so many” but still, I am loving the combination more than Donald Trump loves retweeting random 16 year olds which is a lot. While I am fully convinced now that Manor Hill is a damn amazing brewery, this is now my first beer from Aslin and now that I’ve tasted them, I have to get my hands on some more. I’m not going to lie, when I first saw the name of this beer I really thought I would have to suffer through Johnny Depp taking care of a “mentally challenged” Leonardo DiCaprio but luckily they aren’t involved at all. A great white wine flavor starts things off with a sweet but almost oaky flavor before some citrusy hops mix in with some melon flavor and a balanced bitterness before ending with a mix of beer and white wine to close things up. In the world of DIPAs, this one definitely stands out from the hordes and hordes of selections you have so if you get a chance to snag this awesome collaboration make sure you take it. If you are a fan of the more mild side of hops or are just looking for something out of the ordinary, grab a can of this two-faced beer and drink the hell out of it. If this is your first Imperial IPA you are in fucking luck because this thing delivers on flavor and sessionability even though it clocks in at 9% ABV. Get wasted with your pinky up!

Aslin Double Infrared Starfish DIPA (Picked up at a Total Wine in Laurel, MD). A 3 of 4. Lots of tropical fruit and orange juice notes in the nose with a bit of stone fruit, too. The body is very well-balanced and has a ton of juicy notes to it with some sticky lacing and slight softness on the palate. The bitterness is there to help balance, but it is not aggressive.

Aslin’s DDH Dunley Place on tap at FWOT in Conshohocken, PA. A 4 of 4. Smells of a ton of orange citrus and fainter tropical notes, and drinks with much the same in an incredibly creamy, hazy body. Lots of juicy qualities to it and a nice slightly resinous bitterness fades in mid-body to help cut the fruity sweetness. Incredibly well done.
