TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY… this painting has undergone so many transformations. It’s almost funny. I’m on this abstract buzz at the moment which has manifested in this final decision… oOo “INTIMATION” 2018 10 months of #ASMethod - charcoal, colour pencil, pastel, acrylic paint, oil paint..then finally, oil paint mixed with bees wax… cropped version. First stage of this next piece. I’m taking a slightly different approach to the #ASMethod by starting with ink.. will probably proceed down the process as usual after this.. I just really wanted to try with ink because I love it.. it’s so loose and gives cool effects. 🎨 I have also taken some of the advice from the recent painting course and entered this image with an intention. Usually I just go with the flow and see what comes out of my head. To be fair I started with a totally different intention...but then the image started to tell me something different, and I have gone with my intuition. This image to me is about creative inspiration...where it comes from, which voice to listen to. It is partly inspired by a tiny paragraph in a book I’m reading “Mythos” by Stephen Fry... he discusses poet W. H.
