@mxsesiiisms:
it had been months since they had met each other, and laya could tell they were pretty close. not in a love aspect, but on being good friends. they hang out often, and it was A FUN TIME whenever she was with him. and now, it was another of the many afternoons they spent together. they normally would just hang out at a coffee shop, or at the cinema.
and it was supposed to be just another normal afternoon, you know? until they opened up THE DOOR of the coffee’s shop, and the words ‘kiss!’ and ‘mistletoe!’ were heard. and of course, the science student was blushing like mad. what was HE going to say? yes, they were soulmates but- he was kissing her…. danny, was kissing her. what? her eyes got wider, but soon, she kissed BACK, even if she barely knew what to do
Among the words ‘kiss’ and ‘mistletoe’ he’s f a i r l y certain he heard the phrase ‘free coffee’. One thing to know about Danny is that he’s cheap and l o v e s free things, especially being on a server’s budget. And so he figures why not? They were soulmates after all, kissing would come eventually why not get the usually awkward first kiss out of the way and get a free cup of coffee as well. At least that’s the reasoning he used to quell his r i s i n g fear of rejection.
The kiss itself wasn’t anything intense, it’s a s o f t one. He’d rather n o t overwhelm her too much with it. There was no g r a n d epiphany that s u d d e n l y he’s in love with her. It’s more of a comforting warm and fuzzy feeling. Like crawling into bed after a long day of waiting on tables, familiar and n i c e for lack of a better term. He looks forward to more kisses in the future as he was never l o o k i n g for the grand fireworks and epiphanies to begin with. He’s surprised when Laya d o e s n ‘ t push him away, and even more so when she kisses him back before he pulls away for breath.
