Changeable weather.

We’ve had some changeable and unpredeictable weather over the last few days. We’ve certainly had some heavy rain but also some sunshine and light winds. Inspired by Christopher Nolan's movie 'Inception', this short clip was the result of the many class activities done on the subject of erasure. The illusionary qualities of never-ending stair case was due to the removal of a segment within the clip and a loop of the same scene again and again. This clip was an eye-opening moment in understanding relationships of cause and effect, whereas when an essential element is removed (in this case the stairs to go to the third floor) the effect becomes different from what is expected. Many times this element of disjointedness and disruption of cause and effect can lead to more intriguing works, as well as unique qualities. It was helpful in making me realise the wider consequences of erasure, pushing me to see more when considering ideas for the Pecha Kucha assignment.
