Today was a long ass day as the title of this post suggests. The old pumps for the ninja system stopped cooperating. Falcone, being the gem he is, went to the hardware store to research better pumps to handle the viscosity and heat that come with brewing beer. These new pumps are testing my patience and I tutor children in my spare time. That's saying something. Today I attempted to brew my version of a creamsicle/5050 bar and it was a disaster on many levels. Despite the chaotic process, I had a blast teaching a former employee who was eager to learn about the brewing process. She asked pertinent questions that tested my knowledge and kept me on my feet; a wonderful test of my brewing education thus far. Despite the difficult brew, the Spurs won and I am happy with what I do for my job. No effort goes wasted and I'm always learning. I'll update on the outcome of this defiant brew.
