Deiphobus is another one of those Trojan heroes you can find in the Iliad. Most relevantly, Athena took the shape of Deiphobus to antagonize his brother, Hector, into staying in the battle and fighting Achilles. Believing that it was his brother, Hector threw his spear at Achilles but missed, when he turned to ask his brother for another spear "Deiphobus" was gone. Hector realized that it was the gods that messed with his mind - Achilles then killed Hector. After the death of Paris (which Deiphobus may have been involved in), Deiphobus was given Helen of Troy as his war boon. Helen, of course, objected - during the sacking of Troy, it was either Odysseus, Menelaus, of Helen herself who killed and mutilated Deiphobus. IN MY OPINION Deiphobus in a chart can indicate a) the theft of one's identity, b) where others assume you are behind something that you aren't, c) where you gain what people most desire, d) where others come to despise you, and/or e) bodily mutilation.

helen of troy (asteroid 101)

Helen of Troy was the twin of Clytemnestra, sister to the twins Castor and Pollux (sometimes referred to as Polydeuces), and daughter of Zeus and Leda (the swan myth) - the adoptive daughter of Tyndareus. In other myths, she is sometimes thought to be the daughter of Zeus and Nemesis (which is a less popular thought/myth), in this version Leda finds the egg (yes, she is still born from an egg in this one) and is then raised by Leda and Tyndareus. Helen is regarded in mythology as the most beautiful woman in the world. Originally, Helen was abducted by Theseus (who wanted a divine wife), and while he was adventuring his mother, Aethra guarded her. This was short lived because soon after Theseus left, the Spartans invaded Athens, leading this army were Helen's brothers, Castor and Pollux, who returned Helen home and took Aethra in return. In some myths, Helen had a child with Theseus named Iphigenia, who upon Helen's return to Sparta was given to her sister, Clytemnestra, and is later sacrificed to the gods in order to sail to Troy by Agamemnon (Clytemnestra's husband). Featured in The Odyssey, Helen is to pick a suitor from a hoard of great men due to Tyndareus's fear that they would start a war over her if she didn't choose (haha, foreshadowing). Before a suitor was chosen, Tyndareus received advice from Odysseus that all suitor should swear an oath to Helen's chosen husband to always support and fight against anyone who may fight him. When everyone agreed, she does pick Menelaus. Together her and Menelaus have a peaceful marriage in which she has four children with him and she happily takes her seat beside him on the throne of Sparta. This marriage in itself is marked as the end of the age of heroes. Helen was later abducted by Paris who was promised by Aphrodite that he would have the most beautiful woman in the world. Paris brought Helen to Troy - some myths state that the two eloped during this time (there was no abduction, it was by choice). And, of course, after this the Trojan War ensues. But what happened after the war to Helen of Troy (who should really be Helen of Sparta in my opinion)? Well there are three different endings. In one, she is brought back home to Sparta by Menelaus who is determined to kill her for being amorous with Paris - in this version, she undresses and Menelaus is shocked by her beauty and forgets to kill her. In another, she is exiled to Mount Olympus. And lastly (and most unlikely in my opinion), she goes to the Underworld to spend eternity with Achilles (like why would she lol?). IN MY OPINION Helena in your chart can represent a) where people may constantly fight over you, b) where you may be thought of as beautiful, and/or c) where you are excused for being disloyal.

iris, goddess of rainbows and messages (asteroid 7)

According to Hesiod, Iris is the daughter of Thaumas and the nymph, Electra. One of her primary responsibilities was to bring water from the river Styx to the gods so they could make their binding oaths. In the earlier days, before Hermes, Iris was consider the primary messenger of the gods traveling with the means of light and water - the rainbow. Iris frequently relayed Zeus's messages to other gods and mortals. Notably, Iris informed Menelaus of Helen's abduction and lit Patroclus's pyre per Achilles's prayers. IN MY OPINION Iris in your chart can represent a) where you are aware of promises, b) where you are the moderator, c) where your life moves faster than the speed of light, and/or d) where you eventually are overshadowed.

nereus, king of the ocean (asteroid 4660)

Nereus is the son of Pontus and Gaea. Often he is thought of as the old man of the sea. He is the father of almost all the famous water nymphs, or Nereids, of Greek mythology. Three of the most popular being Thetis - mother of Achilles, Amphitrite - the sea wife of Poseidon, and Nerites - the most notable male nymph. He is often referred to in myth as the sea king who was honest and fair but over time he was replaced with his own grandson Triton. IN MY OPINION Nereus in your chart can indicate a) where your children outshine you, b) where you are seen as fair, and/or c) where are you are replaced by someone younger.

Hephaestus is the son of Zeus and Hera. He is often described as the least flattering of the gods: ugly, deformed, brutish, etc. Whether he was born that way or was made to become that way is unclear - some say Zeus threw Hephaestus from Olympus to his mother, Rhea, on earth. In some versions, he is solely Hera's son. Similar to the story told in the Flora myth post - instead of Juno having Mars in Roman myth, it is Hera having Hephaestus in Greek myth. In this version, Hera throws him out of Olympus after seeing how ugly deformed he was and Thetis and Eurynome raise him after discovering him severely injured. Hephaestus plots his revenge against his parents in either version by crafting gold thrones - when Hera sat on the throne she became tied to the seat and was only released when Hephaestus got drunk with Dionysus. Hephaestus is made to stay amongst the gods in Olympus based on his incredible abilities to create. He created the bronze man of Crete, supposedly the first woman Pandora, a famous shield for Thetis which would later become Achilles's, Peleus's sword, Agamemnon's scepter, etc. If you can think it, Hephaestus can make it. As we know he is the husband to the goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, who often was disloyal to him. In some versions, he said that he would only release Hera from the golden throne if he married Aphrodite - which is the reason they are married then. Of course, Aphrodite's rejection of him anyway for not being to her standards and the non-ideal situation that is arranged marriage. Resulting in him finding love elsewhere; many of his children became creators or kings. There is a myth in which he forces himself on Athena and she pushes him off just as he is about to finish - which caused the god’s semen to fall down to earth or Gaea. This union results in a famous king of Athens - Erichthonius. IN MY OPINION Hephaistos in your chart represents a) where you may face a lot of rejection, b) where you are a creator, c) where you get your justice for those who have wronged you, d) where you may receive a life long injury, and/or e) where feminine people despise you.

bruh idk how to feel about a 7h hephaistos at 11° in libra? like not a sextile venus and pluto OR a jupiter and uranus trine :((( i rather not contemplate what that means lol. it smells a lot like a betrayal…

paris, the defender and destroyer (asteroid 3317)

Paris was the son of King Praim and Queen Hecuba. We all know him as the reason for the start of the Trojan War. Before his birth he was prophesied to cause doom and destruction to the kingdom of Troy and that it was best if he was killed upon birth to save the kingdom of Troy. The royal couple couldn’t do that to their sweet baby son... so they gave him to the local cowhand to slaughter. But he couldn't kill the cute little kid either... so he took the kid to the wilderness to die. When a bear found the baby... it couldn't kill him either (lmfao baby Paris was “the little engine that could” in disguise), instead the bear nursed him (someone got out the psychology textbooks). When the cowhand returned to see if the baby was gone nearly a week later, he discovered Paris was still alive so he took the baby home with him to raise alongside his own children. Growing up, Paris had a relationship with a nymph named Oenone for many years until the marriage of Peleus and Thetis (read Eris's post to catch the drift). After Aphrodite's promise to give him the most beautiful woman in the world he let Oenone down easily telling her this - she loved him so much that she would be happy to help him whenever he needed as he searched. Oenone knew time grew short for their relationship when soldiers arrived to take Paris's favorite bull for the festival in Troy. The bull was set to be a tournament prize - Paris went despite Oenone begging him to say it because intuitively she knew that Aphrodite's promise would be found soon thereafter. He signed up for the tournament, beating each opponent in the games including King Praim's sons. When he won against Hector, they chased him to a temple in which his biological parents would claim him as their own once more. King Menelaus would be hosted by his family then ask that they visit Sparta whenever they wished as honored guests. King Praim would send his sons to Spartan shores in hopes of finding his sister, who disappeared during the disaster that occurred during Hercules's time in Troy. This is when Paris would meet Helen, who was the proud wife of King Menelaus. Menelaus would leave the company mid-visit due to the unexpected passing of a relative - as soon as he was gone, Helen and Paris would finally give in to the romantic tension built between them. Helen and Paris agreed to run away to Troy together - Paris had his men rob the treasury of Sparta before leaving (a “bruh moment” if i have every seen one). As we know, Paris's arrow with the help of Apollo would kill Achilles and then he too would be shot and killed. IN MY OPINION Paris in you chart may represent a) where you cause large scaled destruction to the world around you, b) where and how you may escape death many times, c) where you make life changing decisions, d) where you betray others, e) affairs, and/or f) where you topple legends.
