Changed the hairstyle bc it looked too modern and didn’t fit the character (Chariclo, mother of Tiresias) but it’s so cute I wanted to share.

The Athena-Chariklo relationship is interesting to me because while Athena and Artemis definitely don't exclusively get along with maidens, one would expect that a parthenos like Athena would have as her dearest and closest companion (the one she takes with her everywhere and bathes with) a fellow maiden, which Chariklo is not. Artemis and Atalanta might come closest to this since they seem to remain close and on good terms even after the latter bears a child, but Athena and Chariklo still stand out in how affectionate and intimate their bond is described as being in Kallimachos' Hymn 5: „... Athena loved one nymph above all  the others, the mother of Teiresias, and they were never apart. When Athena would drive her horses off to ancient Thespiai […] or to Haliartos, crossing the tilled fields of the Boeotians—or to Koroneia, where her fragrant  grove and altars stood on the banks of the Kouralios river—the goddess would often place her on her chariot. The whisperings of the nymphs and ordering of their dances were never sweet when Chariklo was not leading them.”

Was talking about this in the Discord.

But man- au where the 7 run into Chariklo.

She's upset cause closing of olympus means she couldn't see her husband or siblings for months

Percy is confused cause he didn't know Chiron had a wife.

Maybe they run into her during boo why collecting everything for the Physicans cure and she starts telling baby stories about Asclepius.

When olympus is open again she goes to visit Chiron and the Apollo cabin so fast. She also overs parenting and postpartum advice to Mellie.

Also. Someone acknowledgeing Chiron is technically Apollo's son in law, and Will's brother-in-law

Asteroid Chariklo 10199

Chariklo is going to  conjunct Pluto 3 times this year (exact) and likely play a decisive role in the Saturn/Pluto conjunction. It’s the invisible side of the healing process . One of the important energies of NOW

Chariklo #10199  is the largest confirmed Centaur asteroid and is comprised mainly of rock and ice. Discovered in 1997, she has an orbital period of 62.4 years. This asteroid is rare in that it has rings and possibly at least one small Moon. Chariklo orbits between Saturn and Uranus but closer to Uranus, never actually crossing the path of Saturn.

The mythology associated with Chariklo is centered around devotion and understanding. She was the gentle wife of Chiron and it is not agreed upon whether she was a nymph or a centaur herself. In either case, she assisted him willingly in is his noble duties. Known as a giving soul, she maintained grace while called upon to serve consistently. Chariklo was also the trusted aide to Vesta, the sacred tender of temple flame and companion and helper to Athena, goddess of wisdom. The association with both these main Goddesses gives us much information regarding Chariklo's character.

Athena, Goddess of rational wisdom and emotional bravery, was not one to be fooled or manipulated. She was loathe to endure weakness in any being and so demanded absolute integrity in all that dealt with her. Chariklo would have required a very impressive resume and correct character to land the job of constant companion to such a demanding woman. Unshakable Integrity would have been an absolute must. Athena would never have wasted her time on one who was not strong enough to show up as their honest self.

Vesta was the Goddess that was the personification of righteous dedication. Quiet but resolved, Vesta was forever tending the sacred temple flame. She was of a breed of women who promised their service for a lifetime and regarded it as all important. Selfless service was the example Chariklo took from this ever humble Goddess.

From Athena, Chariklo learned righteous boundaries and from Vesta she took meekness, long suffering and understanding. I relate to this Asteroid, loving boundaries that rise from balanced feminine expression. The energies of this asteroid are centered especially around tempering boldness and stark honesty with tact and self respect.

Chariklo and Chiron were the parents of several gifted children who had legacies of their own. Chariklo was the "good wife" who stayed constant and steadfast. The teachings of the great Goddesses she served distilled upon her quiet character. From them she learned the resilience, tenderness, and thoughtful assertiveness required to raise respectful children. A good mother is one who understands that preparing her child well for the world is her crucial job. Chariklo and Chiron turned out some spectacular product in the form of successful offspring. Chariklo did experience the deep sadness and grief that accompanies widowhood, as her husband was eventually killed. Chariklo went on to remarry and have yet at least one more notable son.

Astrologically, Chariklo represents graceful enforcement of ones own boundaries. The unique rings of this asteroid are representative of her knowledge of the respect that thoughtful enforcement of one's own personal definition brings. The path this asteroid travels between Saturn and Uranus is one of bringing the traditional into an attitude of flexibility. Chariklo is currently the largest known centaur asteroid. Her discovery brought with it the collective awareness that "no means no." Female boundaries were very much in the headlines at her discovery.

The courage to say NO when appropriate is a skill that for some must be learned. Chariklo is the space inside of us that needs to be sovereign in order to keep that place of balance. Not one to raise a sword to prove her point, as Athena was often known to do, Chariklo uses her graceful reason to right a wrong, as she learned from Vesta.

Chariklo in the first house/Aries- Chariklo here shows one who needs to control their temper with those who would push their limits too far. Maintaining individuality while still belonging to the group is the key.

Chariklo in the second house/ Taurus- Using grace to get the point across. Those with Chariklo here are concerned with maintaining quality social relationships through the application of appropriate boundaries.

Chariklo in the third house/Gemini- Chariklo placed here shows the need to learn loving boundaries on a business level. Marketing or teaching skills related to boundaries. Being a multi tasker that can be successful at such through the application of learned boundaries.

Chariklo in the forth house/Cancer- Needing to establish loving boundaries with family members and the Mother. Keeping the peace while doing one's own thing may be a special skill that is developed.

Chariklo in the fifth house/ Leo- The need to establish boundaries related to risk and fun and the appetite for pleasure. The talent for teaching loving boundaries through humor.

Chariklo in the sixth house/Virgo- The need to establish healthy boundaries in the work place. Chariklo here either needs to learn to hold back when they see one in need or hold back when they think they have the answer. Establishing boundaries when it comes to doing for others or thinking one knows what is best for others.

Chariklo in the seventh house/Libra- The need to establish and lovingly maintain appropriate boundaries within intimate partnerships. Can be a teacher of such things to the partner by modeling healthy behavior.

Chariklo in the eighth house/ Scorpio- The need to establish healthy boundaries related to one's sexuality, intimacy and other peoples resources.

Chariklo in the ninth house/Sagittarius- The need to establish healthy boundaries when it comes to what you will believe or adopt as your own ideas. An ability to lovingly show others a healthier way of thinking.

Chariklo in the tenth house/Capricorn- A placement that favors using the power of silence to get the point across. A need to establish Boundaries in business and career. Being farsighted when it comes to use of technology in business.

Chariklo in the eleventh house/Aquarius- A need to establish social boundaries and among peers. The ability to have compassion for all because you are able to maintain a sense of self through mental separation. The need to see beyond the boundaries of your current social structure.

Chariklo in the twelfth house- The need to establish psychic boundaries. Learning to exist without helping all that require it. The need to become more selfish in order to maintain a sovereign sense of self. Learning to say no. The need to establish a solid sense of self.
