Have you ever come up with a character concept by starting with a song? It's a habit of mine, recently (btw Concept:) An orcish chieftan, cleric to a god of tempest and weather, praying for rain with the same chant they use for pre-battle warchant. Thunderstruck by AC/DC.

Not a specific song, no, but I once had a concept kicking around for a magical girl duo whose gimmick is that one of them has all of her special attacks and transformations named/themed after DragonForce songs, and the other has all of her attacks and transformations named/themed after Dead Can Dance songs.

(They start out as rivals, but eventually team up to take on a vampire queen whose gimmick is that all of her attacks are named/themed after Guns N’ Roses songs.)

Hey yo, I saw you weren't feelin' good. And I don't wanna give too much vague, empty cheer-ups of "you make me happy" but I can definitely say since the moment I started following you my dashboard feels more... Alive? Seein' you say stuff and interactin' with you has definitely helped cheer me up and color my day brighter lately. Better, but that still feels somewhat performative to me. Because it’s not really doing anything, you know?

IDK. If a straight person said “we [straight people] suck” to me, I’d probably just be like “heh, haha, yeah you DO” and that’d likely be the end of it. I might be a little annoyed at them if I felt as though they were trying to “earn points” with me by saying such a thing.
