2nd House Ruler in Dif. Houses
Hello, my loves! I hope everyone is doing amazing! This post is the second installment in my series about the effects of house rulers in different houses. This post will focus on the effects of having the 2nd house ruler in different houses in one’s natal chart.

The 2nd house ruler is the planet which rules the sign on the second house, and in which house this planet lies in your natal chart determines what effects the 2nd house ruler will have on a person. Traditionally, the 2nd house ruler is an indicator of one’s wealth and fortunates.
DISCLAIMER: Before we start, I just to acknowledge that I’m NOT a professional astrologist, however, I have been personally studying astrology for the past 6 years so I am knowledgeable about the subject. So please only take whatever interpretations resonate with you and leave the rest.

This placement allows a person to earn for themselves, there are no family burdens for them to solve financially.
It also shows a person who has good earning capability and the capability to handle their finances well.
This could also mean that they are self-employed and thus, earn independently.
This placement also indicates a person who is well-versed in speech, singing, and learning. So, they could also speak many languages.
Since 1st house rules self, it also shows a person who takes good care of their face and could have very extensive facial and beauty routines.
However, if the 2nd house ruler is ill-aspected, all the above aspects could be reversed and so they could lack concentration in studies, have poor eating habits, and poor financial management and/or earning skills.
This indicates a person who is financially complete in the sense that they have it all - a house, a car, a pool, a good stable job, etc. So, they could have a well-respected or top position in society, especially in the financial ladder.
This also indicated a person who is a bit of a foodie because they enjoy good, luxurious food.
They might also have a good face (and great eye sight usually) and voice which can be used to lure in large audiences (in public speaking) and even their family members, this could be why these people are likely to receive a lot of financial benefits from their family members.
If ill-placed, this placement could mean the person will have challenges in gained wealth and might have medical concerns related to the eye and/or face.
This placement indicates that a person will earn money through their personal efforts. Unfortunately, money will not come easily to them if they just sit there and hope for it, instead these people have to work for every penny that they want to make.
However, that money could come from siblings, close friends, and neighbors since these are aspects which the 3rd house generally rules over.
They could also make money through artistic efforts, singing, speech, sales, marketing, advertising, and short distance travels.
If ill-placed, this placement would mean one will earn money through dishonest actions because of their personal anxiety to get money and wealth. They could also be impatient, lack courtesy for others in speech, and just overall, have a very harsh-spoken mannerism.
Since the 4th house traditionally rules over home affairs, this placement means that the person will finance the house meaning they will be the financial head of their home (whether it’s their birth home or their in-laws home after marriage).
This also means the person could gain wealth by accumulating high savings, speaking, singing, education, real estate, agriculture, underground work like mining and minerals, vehicles, healthcare (nurturing work/service), and/or through maternal relations.
This placement also makes a person well-educated, emotionally balanced who strives for other’s happiness, and a great story-teller.
However, if ill-placed, this placement could indicate someone who faces financial losses from the above mentioned fields like speaking, singing, education, real estate, agriculture, etc.
This means a person will earn wealth through their mind and intellect.
They could be employed within government agencies, speculation business, spirituality, sports, and/or entertainment.
As a result of their sharp mind, these people develop good money-saving skills and high intelligence, but still maintain their code of ethics while earning money.
If ill-placed, this indicates a person who has problems with paying their taxes or loans, are not able to enjoy their life (since 5th house rules over pleasure and little joys in life) because of wealth issues. They could spend unnecessary amounts on children and romantic partners and speak in a dishonest manner.
This means a person will earn money through service since 6th house rules over service to others.
Income and wealth could come from service occupations such as healing, protection, public service, law, armed forces, martial arts, fighting, boxing, legal trade, animal service.
A person must work hard and have perseverance to earn money and weirdly enough, sometimes people with this placement earn money through their enemies.
However, if ill-placed, this could mean that the person will struggle in saving money, get in disputes easily (make lots of enemies), lose money through accidents and health problems (even addictions), get into high debts, have speech articulatory issues or harsh speech, have eating disorders or dental issues, and spend unnecessary amounts of money on pets.
This indicates a person will make money through their partnerships, this could be romantic, platonic, or business partnerships (domestic or foreign business transactions/contracts).
Partnerships could also improve this person physically instead of only financially.
If ill-placed, it means a person could not get lots of opportunities for partnerships or lose partnerships quickly, will could lead to episodes of depression. Their health may be weak and this could cause a sick or worried romantic partner or a business partner who faces troubles in transactions or contracts. It could also cause the person to seek out multiple relationships or spouses.
This indicates a person who makes money through other’s support.
Career placements for income could be in occult sciences, astrology, healing arts, research and/or spiritual practice.
The person could get money through inheritance, insurance, alimony, wills of elderly, etc.
If ill-placed, it could indicate a person who is dependent on others and otherwise poor themselves, have financial problems with partners, could lose their inheritance, gets a low paying job, may be abused by a family members, be prone to alcohol or drug addiction, and have low concentration in their studies.
This indicates a person who is financially fortunate. They are usually lucky in money patterns and might have parents or partners who are prosperous and thus, gain wealth through these means.
Possible careers/sources of income could be from professions such as a lawyer, philosopher, teacher, mentor, prime minister or president, judge, travel agent, import or export manager, finance service, or jewelry design.
Their parents could be a huge help in their careers and in money matters.
If ill-placed, it indicates a person who had unfortunate financial matters, who doesn’t have spiritual growth, can face problems when traveling like money issues or even food poisoning or diet restrictions, and problems in higher education.
This means a person will earn their wealth through their wealth.
This wealth will earn them good reputation and status.
Possible careers and income sources include financial jobs, speaking, entertainment, sales, modeling (profession which uses their face), and constant studies (higher education).
If ill-placed, indicates the fall of reputation through career, lots of career issues such as no promotions or enemies in work place, bad dental of facial health, loss of wealth and respect, and financial losses from working with big companies or the government.
This means a person gets a lot of opportunities to make money and indicated a good and constant cash flow.
They could get wealth through finance, but honestly, anything is a good career choice for people with this placement because money opportunities are constantly present.
They could get financial benefits from elder siblings, partners, children, close friends, or others who are in an influential position.
If ill-placed, shows a person who might take dishonest methods to earn money, get into debts and other money problems, and even feel depressed due to money concerns.
This means a person will earn money through enlightenment.
They could earn money through charitable, educational, philanthropic or spiritual work/service.
The person is likely to make money after religious or spiritual pilgrimages or self-reflection, by engaging in spiritual work or conventions, studying or working abroad in far-away places, and living a simple life.
If ill-placed, it means the person might become a financial victim by facing money losses, could overspend after getting money and thus, lose it quickly. They could take low paying jobs, and not have any financial motivation.
