the research on the flower toon was necessary, and the only way to even achieve it was to have him in the room as a twisted.
but it was so.. extremely risky.
the flower popped up on the way to every even floor, smile getting forced with each floor passing where you didn't buy.
you felt terrible, of course you did, the small toon looked genuinely confused and upset!
and when you saw him last, right before the music began, the look on his face was so strange.
of course, it was probably due to vee and sprout reminding you all to not buy anything, a smirk on their faces as dandy paused mid sentence toward you and instead looked so done.
furrowed brows, clear irritation, and a threat as he descended.
the music was chilling as you reached the next floor, unsure of how to feel.
you trusted pebble to distract well, of course, one of the best to have on your team in this situation, and you still had vee who could at least outline the twisted from where she was.
then the lights went out.
heavy steps slowly made their way around the floor, vee tapping her microphone revealing the giant flower making way towards the elevator.
vee commented that there was no sign of a second twisted, meaning it would probably be rodger who had appeared this floor, and with that you all made your way to do machines and pick up capsules in hopes of finishing the floor as quickly as possible.
a pile of tapes with no machine around, possibly a good fifty if you thought about it, should have been extremely suspicious and made you avoid the spot altogether.
what made it worse was the singular research capsule laying on top of it, dandy research to be specific, it should've been so clearly a trap.
of course, you didn't think of that at the time when you grabbed the goodies and turned to leave, the possibility of handing the tapes to sprout in order to get him to give you a heal later on if necessary on your mind only for a pale face with colorful petals to be leaning down towards you with a toothy grin.
he was much too close, the smell of flowers and ichor hitting you strongly and causing a gasp to leave you.
the overgrown flower got closer the more you stepped back, the music still reaching your ears but so much quieter now as you hit the wall behind you.
he was too close, massive body covered in ichor practically caging you in as he kept getting closer despite you having no where to go, and the panic that hit you knowing you would actually die if you didnt do anything.
there was quiet purring before you felt him nudging his head against yours, the twisted toon slowly settling down and just. . stared at you.
red eyes filled with fondness looking into your own anxious eyes, slowly relaxing just a small bit.
maybe keeping your guard up in case he was just fucking with you, trying to get you to not be tense before going in for the kill?
except, the twisted just reached out and with a vibrant red claw he slowly dragged a few tapes that you had dropped towards himself. he purred again as you handed him a few more tapes, extremely confused on what was going on but wanting to make him leave you alone was probably the best way to go
the flower simply got closer, face nuzzling yours again before his massive weight was on you, trying to curl up against you and in your lap in a way.
"dandicus dancifer, what the fuck."
he huffs, claws pawing at your leg when your hands remain off him, and despite clearly not being a damn cat this stupid flower was practically begging you to treat him as such.
you notice a green outline around him, a sigh leaving you in relief knowing that you hadn't been abandoned or your friends killed.
and a small glance around dandy's petals proved that pebble was sitting across the room and just staring at you with his adorable derpy eyes, confused but sensing that you were alright.
finally, aware of the situation of how everyone was okay and no danger was possibly going to happen to you for touching him, your hand came up to gently stroke the flower's sharp petals.
dandy was seemingly content after being like that for a few minutes, your attention on just him, and with that he stood up slowly.
his eyes land on pebble, who had been guarding you in case his dear dandy attempted to kill you, and a soft huff left the flower again.
in seconds, his head began nudging you towards the elevator, gently pushing you across the floor with little effort. you let him, pebble going on ahead of you a bit and sitting by the elevator happily.
dandy wasn't hurting you, and he was happy he got to have a break.
all your teammates stare in shock and fear, multiple of them moving away from where dandy was nudging you with his head and the machine that sprout was doing was finished just in time.
dandy sat at the entrance of the elevator and simply stared at you for a bit, a soft happy look showing on his face as you wave at him when the elevator door shuts.
the flower's shop pops up and the giddy mood on him is clearly affecting his shop, your teammates realize, as there are bands, medkits and bottles of pop ready to go for your team.
everyone cheers happily as they buy from him, and yet the toon keeps his gleeful eyes on you.
slipping over a medkit, and refusing your tapes, dandy smiles softly at you up until his time is up and he has to shut shop.
soft whispers of meeting him after the run make it to you as he descends and you smile back, nodding once to his joy.
ending kind of sucks but here. . i love that one clip of him acting like a cat with the tapes
im gonna focus on requests first and then move on to a cute series i have an idea for.
