In the cold chambers of the lab, sunlight rarely breaches in. That is how he likes it. The founder of this place can be quite whelming at first, though all who actually meet him with a hypothesis based on his height are quickly shut down. For all he has done, yet many still judge him for his looks rather than his achievements. Itโs a shame. Little do newcomers know that scattered around each room are various experiments: some left to rot, some unfinished, and one who lurks the laboratory when everyoneโs away.
As the lone boss, Cosmo thoroughly believes he can handle everything himself. Ever since he was conscious, each decision was one to prove that he is independent. No one would look down on him, because no one could. He will spend days, weeks inside his bone-chilling facility with no one to worry about him. His greatest and newest work is what he calls โFrankenstein.โ A sharp record is taken regularly, hastily dated with overly enthusiastic scribbles by his research. He is elatedโuntil the Frankenstein developed a habit that not even he can contain.
Once Cosmoโs attention wanders off, so does he. Somehow, that large specimen has learned to escape his cells as he pleases. Cosmo notes he is lucky there is no drive beneath the formerโs flesh. Otherwise his research would have to come to a full halt.
Never in a million years will Cosmo stoop down to hire other souls to watch over his experiment. Which is why he only hires one.
He finds you endearing, almost. Youโre so clueless, he wonders how you got this far without losing your head. However, youโre smart in that you donโt ask too many questions. Perhaps thatโs why youโre left in the dark. Its perfect. He doesnโt want anyone who will pry into his work, just someone who does as he says. Better, he gets to lie to your face.
Meet my oc I cooked up real quick (my other neglected ocs are screaming)

Theyโre Dyleโs acquaintance, having history due to their efforts outside of Gardenview managing what gets imported directly into the facility.
After Amby officially aired, Dyle did not wish to continue communicating with them.
Their watch was a meeting gift from Dyle during their early days. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the water themes in their room, it no longer works.
Ambyโs former best friendโnow enemyโis Bandit. He tries to steal from Amby, but their keen senses and his reckless behavior always gets him caught.
Itโs sharp, indifferent as always. Her crossed arms and tense expression arenโt making you feel any better. You only just got back from visiting the greenhouse. There isnโt any debris on you, is there?
โAre youโฆ youโre going to ask me something, arenโt you.โ
She, awfully exasperatedly, sighs into holding the side of her head. Beside her are the other main characters, quietly chatting with furrowed brows.
โYes, itโs about Astro.โ
Now you match her unease. You wish sheโd cut to the point like she usually does, itโs getting hard trying to not jump to conclusions. The greenhouse air was suffocating enough. With shoulders less stiff than yours, she answers before you can ask.
โThereโs something wrong; and it seems we need you for this.โ
She makes it sound like a heroic tale is about to unfold and youโre not so sure you want that. Astro isnโt a damsel in distress all the time. Knowing heโs in distress is enough to have you going cold.
Shelly lights up at the sight of you and urges you to join their circle. You donโt get a step in before she latches onto your shoulders.
โ[name], this is bad!โ
โAstro, right?โ You cut in, shaking off her grip.
โRightโ yeah. You see, Astroโs been,โ She trailed off, making a motion with her hands. โIrritated lately.โ
You raise a brow at that. Unusual for him to feel anything else other than tired, yes, but to the point where everyoneโs worried? You donโt want to think about it.
โAnd?โ
Shellyโs cheeks flush, a bit confused at your response. She doesnโt notice the fact you canโt bring yourself to say more without your throat closing upโyou hope.
โWe thought he was just having a bad day at first, but ever since you left heโs, wellโ yโknow.โ
Huh.
Ever since you left heโs been bitter.
The loss of tension in your body is pleasant. Refreshing like a breeze in a hot room. Shelly looks at the weak curves your lips even weirder. Trying to smile back, she eyes Sprout, who canโt help but huff.
