I know this is sudden, but I just had a random headcanon that anyone who just met Itachi wouldn't guess he was still a high school student. Asu and Hojiro would be holding back their laughter in the background knowing how old the guy looked.
Osana is insanely delusional since she refuses to come to terms with her feelings about you. In her small-town world, you're just her best friend and she's naturally concerned about you. So don't be alarmed when she paints all of your potential love interests in a bad light. Besties much look out for each other!
Amai maintains a sweet façade. Sure, your potential suitors are repulsed by her strained smile and maybe you've been spending way too much time at the cooking club but hey, would you like another cupcake? The one with the heart-shaped sprinkles perhaps? Hm? Her? Clingy? Oh, don't talk with your mouth full.
Kizana treats this like an extravagant play. In nearly every romance that has been brought to stage, the lead must capture their love interest by virtue of their adoration for them. Sure, maybe bullying your suitors and isolating you from your peers wasn't in the script. But few can claim that they're dating a primadonna.
Oka sees you as a complex ritual. You may be repulsed by the idea of love spells and summoning succubi, but it's all part of her elaborate plan to bind you to her. Surprisingly, her bad reputation also works in her favour. Associating with her means less and less people sweeping in to take you away.
Asu treats this like a competition. She'll bend over backwards to get your attention. Wanna see her do three consecutive cartwheels? Or maybe you want her to wrestle the guy who was hitting on you the other day? Hey, hey! Don't walk away! She'll carry you wherever you want to go!
Osoro is also quite the delusional one. You're kind to her and her gang, so that lands you in their good books. And every self-respecting gang must protect their allies. So don't freak out when she beats that creep who was following you around to a bloody pulp. You need someone strong to protect you after all.
Megami is the most overprotective of them all. She has the money, power and connections to ensure your safety. Oh, haven't you heard? Akademi is not the safe haven you signed up for. Don't worry though, just follow Megami and let her do the rest. And don't mind the tracking bug she put on your phone.
╰₊✧ although osana has a rough personality and wouldn’t hesitate to throw hands in defense of her loved ones, she is a pacifist at heart who doesn’t like violence, even if it’s directed towards her rivals. she’s also nervous about whether she could manage to do a good enough job to clean up the crime scene without leaving evidence that would get her caught red-handed. the last thing she wants is for you to think she was an evil and horrible person and shun her while she’s behind bars, so she finds enough satisfaction from ruining all of the interactions you have.
╰₊✧ it’s a lengthy process that requires a lot of quick thinking and observation, but her efforts are always worth it when she sees the look of disappointment on your face as you awkwardly bid her rival goodbye. there’s a deep satisfaction that matches what she could have only gotten from murder otherwise when you eventually reject their confession under the cherry tree, and she’s always unable to help the smile that comes to her face when she sees you leave them in tears. as childhood best friends, you always spend the weekends together, and she’ll hear all about how you’re disappointed that things didn’t turn out as you planned, but it didn’t seem to matter much, as long as you still had her by your side.

╰₊✧ people think amai to be the sweetest girl in school with her cheery tone, bright smile, generous personality, and gentle disposition, but they don’t know that underneath that thick layer of kindness, there’s a dark obsession and bloodlust swirling within her that threatens to swallow her whole every time she looks at you. she can’t help but swoon for you and think about you while she’s cooking your favorite dishes for you to sample, but she also can’t help the violent thoughts that come to her when her mind goes back to how cosy you and her rival were looking earlier. it’s not as difficult as some might think to access an untraceable poison without scent or smell, especially when there’s a mysterious person who loves all things violent, willing to supply her with it in exchange for some blackmail.
╰₊✧ in order to reduce any suspicion on her, she never watches them take their dying breath after they eat something they give them, but she loves hearing the panicked screams that follow while she acts confused about what the entire commotion is about. one would think that it’s obvious who the culprit was, but the police are often paid off by the headmaster to turn a blind eye towards these kinds of things, so she’s always off scot-free. she doesn’t always lethally poison them, sometimes she only gets them sick to avoid suspicion about the rise of students dropping dead, but no one would ever suspect her to begin, especially not you when you only see the most angelic side of her.

╰₊✧ kizana isn’t the type who wants to get her hands dirty by committing murder, nor is she really interested in putting in the hard work of getting rid of them through other non-lethal means. besides, could you imagine what would happen to her future if she were caught doing such things? her career would be over before it even began, and she wasn’t about to throw her promising dreams away just because she couldn’t be bothered to clean up a crime scene properly. that’s why the method of spreading nasty rumors and unsavory accusations worked out so well for her whenever she noticed someone getting too close to you for comfort, as all she had to do was whisper gossip into the ears of anyone who would listen before lying back and watching the play unfold just as she scripted it.
╰₊✧ she’s influential enough for these rumors to fly far past the gates of akedemi, but she’s also discreet enough for things to get muddled if one were to try and trace back to the direct source. even if her name was singled out, there was no reason for anyone to assume she had something personal against her rival, it was just kizana being kizana and talking about things she’s only heard about in passing out of proportion. regardless of if she’s out scot-free, her work is enough for her target to withdraw from school due to the relentless bullying. maybe a few of them would even take their own lives, but it didn’t matter to her in the slightest. so what’s another assembly about bullying prevention and suicide prevention in the gym? knowing you hated the people who one crushed in you was enough to have kizana kicking her feet, unable to care about the harm she had caused, when it meant she pushed away yet another who was trying to get in between the two of you.

╰₊✧ people always have their guards down when they’re around oka, never suspecting her of having the capability to do anything dangerous or harmful to them when they’re over her house. sure, she’s creepy as hell with a morbid interest in the occult, but she’s also too timid to even raise her hand in class, much less be able to kill another person. that’s what all her victims think, but when they find a knife in their torso with blood gushing out, they realize their mistakes too late. she’s messy with their remains, smearing this blood all over her floorboards into cryptic symbols and lighting candles everywhere.
╰₊✧ she usually summons succubi to help her with her confidence and appearance in hopes of seducing you, which has been working steadily, but not enough to quench her desperation. she wants you to be her lover, to feel the heat of your skin against hers, and to kiss your lips now, but all the demons laugh and tell her to have patience. In exchange for some of their magic, she continues to lure her rivals in and give their souls away, spending most of the night burying the bodies in the nearby field that’s heavily overgrown with tall grass and flowers, before returning to school the next day like nothing happened, while you find yourself growing more attracted to her.

╰₊✧ bludgeoning them with heavy weights
╰₊✧ energetic and easy-going, asu doesn’t seem like the girl who would hold grudges or keep hate in her heart, but she does, and it burns intensely, especially towards the people who start crushing on the person she has eyes on. she feels the urge to rip them apart flowing through her veins, yet she holds herself back from swinging on them and only smiles like there’s nothing wrong. later on, she has no trouble luring them away to a secluded corner where no one else could see and slams a dumbbell into their skull. there’s a sick satisfaction she gets from the crunch, one that makes the messy cleanup worth it, and if they’re still squirming, she doesn’t hesitate to hit them again until they stop.

╰₊✧ abusing her position as the school nurse to keep them incapacitated
╰₊✧ nobody ever suspects the assistant school nurse. even if muja is rather ditzy, she seems so kindhearted with the desire to do nothing but good, so when her rivals come to her when they start feeling ill, no one suspects her of discreetly poisoning them beforehand while giving them pills and injections that would make them worse. they only suspect it didn’t work on them for whatever reason, and they stay home for days while she grows closer to you.

╰₊✧ getting them expelled through false accusations and contraband
╰₊✧ similar to muja, no one suspects a teacher when she reports one of her students to the guidance counselor. a coincidental injury could easily be translated to fighting off school grounds, cigarettes can easily be planted into their bags, indecent material could easily be sent to their phones anonymously, it really is just too easy for mida to frame her rivals and get them expelled for things they didn’t even do. even if she doesn’t report them personally, others notice and do, and she loves to play innocent when they hold an assembly in the gym about keeping good behavior for the public image of the school, acting like she’s such a good teacher when you admit that you’ve been preferring her company over the students when you didn’t know who was truthful about their outside hobbies or not.

╰₊✧ using physical and verbal intimidation until they back off
╰₊✧ oroso doesn’t bother with discretion or pretending to be something she isn’t. she’s already one of the most feared delinquents in the entire city with the yakuza backing her up, but even with the amount of power behind her, she still would prefer to date you in a more conventional way instead of resorting to intimidation to make you hers. still, that doesn’t mean she won’t use her power to tell the people interested in dating you to back off, and if they have the bravery to refuse her, then they’ll usually end up with a broken nose, or worse. by the time she’s done with them, they won’t even have the courage to come running to you while crying about what she did.

╰₊✧ befriending her rivals and asking them to stay away
╰₊✧ hanako is innocent and kind at heart without any thoughts of violence. all of the energy she would have put into her anger and jealousy goes into obsessing over you, which means when she sees you spending time with someone other than her, who clearly has romantic interest, she’s overwhelmed with intense sadness and fear that you will betray her in favor of them. that’s why she tries her best to put those feelings aside and tries to befriend her enemies instead. after all, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer, right?
╰₊✧ she isn’t particularly the best at helping to solve their problems or carrying out missions, but she’s certainly friendly enough to grow close to them. everyone loves hanako and her sweet personality, especially how she manages to have cheerful conversations about things she doesn’t even know about. before long, she’s one of the best friends of your rival, and after a close conversation where she admits her feelings toward you, all of them are willing to back off. how could they want to take away the loved one of someone like her who was so desperate to have her feelings reciprocated by you? even if their hearts are temporarily broken, they can’t help but feel joy when they see you arm and arm, almost like seeing their little sister finally score with her crush.

╰₊✧ hiring hitmen and assassins for a discreet job
╰₊✧ megami is a busy person when she’s juggling her future, her family, and her schoolwork, so she doesn’t have the time to stalk her rivals and think of ways to get rid of them, especially when she’s focusing all of her free time on getting closer to you. all she needs is a face, a name, and a couple dozen million yen to hire a hitman to do the job for her. not only are they professionals who know how to clean up their messes, but they also know how to keep their mouths shut. if it got out to the public that the heiress to saikou corp was arranging for the murders of her classmates on the account of someone she had a crush on, there would be riots happening in the streets and an outcry for the company to shut down before she’s offered up as a peace offering, but there’s never been a reason for her to be concerned about such things.
╰₊✧ obviously, there’s questions that arise from so many going missing, but she can easily use her influence to make it look like there is a kidnapping crisis going on by some local gang that’s been causing trouble for the general populace anyway. it would be impossible for them to produce evidence otherwise, so it would be a win-win situation for her, especially when she uses it as an excuse to personally walk you home from school everyday, growing closer to you just as she has always hoped to before eventually becoming lovers.

So, while I'm not totally not obsessed with my Hunter/Vampire AU, I'm still writing this and you'll probably find spoilers if you look at whatever Im yapping under @dumbcarr0t acc, but this would be the basic run down of the plot + bonus stuff that ill get to later if by some miracle my fixation lasts!
Theres actually three plots that could happen in this world depending on where Ayano ends up in bc of Asu. I wasn't planning to make a post, but me and my friend found a C plot, and three is my fav number
Anyway just in case, this AU is heavily related to corruption and a fictitious church and religion. This isn't me showcasing my political and religious beliefs in an AU

Ayano Aishi
A mourning vampire who has lost her will to live due the death of her fiance.
After failing to turn her fiance, she has dedicated her life to self-inflicted punishment.
That means prolonging her existence while slowly killing herself, how? By not feeding.
Ayano has not consumed any blood for centuries
This has led to her body slowly deteriorating as she starves herself, she has reached a point where she now has to use a cane to support her gait.
Her body is keeping her alive through energy conservation, meaning she actually is required to sleep and rest like a human, excessive movement and usage of powers will consume too much energy that her body basically goes unconscious
Despite her weakness, she is still quite powerful. Her name carries a weight none like any other vampire...
She is always seen in a widow's mourning attire, always covered and wearing black, considered old fashioned. Has not moved on since the period her fiance died.
Her carriage was ambushed and crashed near the holy city, where Asu Rito found her.
Itachi Zametora
The young Captain of a unit of hunters, hunters are knights who specifically hunt down vampires
Known for his brutal and precise kills
Has a very black and white view of vampires (for good reason)
Returns home for his probation period, a momentary period where he gives up his position and responsibility to look for another calling. Basically a second chance to veer away from holy responsibilities.
After giving up everything, Itachi stays with the Rito Family, who is housing a sickly and mourning noble lady.
That same sick and widowed lady is a vampire.
Itachi develops an infatuated with the lady, weighted by the obligation to kill her and believes she is beguiling him.
Itachi grapples with the fact she has integrated well into the family and in Asu's life.
Focuses on the corruption of the repressed, constantly pushing what he wants for the greater good that it culminates into an end where no one gets what they want.
Kaga Kusha
The resident nutjob or the successful inventor and doctor with multiple doctorates and masterals who became a conspiracy theorist.
Grew obsessed with vampires when he first saw them first hand.
The holy city forbids the spread of information of the vampires existence to the masses. Kaga was shushed and instead of punished, given a job to do research under the church and the knights.
Doesn't do much because the hunters won't give him and his team any samples from their expeditions.
All he can do is analyze old information to garner new hypotheses and theories.
Among his most analyzed pieces of evidence is an old portrait of a beautiful woman, bearing her neck and shoulder. Revealing her vampiric nature.
All this changes when Asu Rito brings him a noble lady unconscious, the sole survivor of a crash asking for him to check her status.
A quick assessment proved she was a vampire.
A live specimen enters the fray, something that is docile and doesn't need to be sedated for his safety.
It was like a tamed lion entered his lab. Not just a lion, the lion. It was the same woman in the old portrait.
Kaga interviews and asks her many questions about her species and life and what she does
These quests for answers become violent quickly as Kaga dissects or at least attempts to do so with what he has available and her regeneration and weakened status
Ayano puts up with it, due to her fragile mental status
Adores Ayano for satiating his need to learn more about her and her specie
Unfortunately for him, Kaga does not report the fact a vampire has entered the holy city.
Focuses on the corruption of seeking knowledge that one shouldn't look for. A man who always thinks, is his greatest downfall.
Oko Ruto
A traumatized priest in the holy city
He grew up in a cult, under the guide of a vampire leader who protected and fed on the members that includes Oko.
The cult was eventually torn apart by the hunters, and reinstated into the holy city due to the hunters
Oko was originally a priest who joined the hunters in their hunts, however this triggered him heavy and so stays in the confines church.
His past is kept under tight wraps, due to the very nature of it.
Kaga often comes to ask him questions but they deeply trouble him, so he can't properly answer any of his questions.
Oko was awake one night and answered the banging of a knight at the church door, who has an injured widow.
Oko opens their door for them and helps them settle.
Eventually Oko realizes the widow's true nature and forces Asu to leave.
This section of Oko's story focuses on the healing of the soul as he recovers from his past traumas with vampires. The same goes for Ayano who recovers from her grief; they both learn to live again.
