Paris Return | Hanbyul
Jiyong had been missing for almost 2 weeks. He’d left for France the day before Christmas Eve and had returned just before the New Year. Despite returning to Korea nearly a week ago, Jiyong had neglected to show up at the facility at all. He was hesitant at first to enter the building. He stood outside on what felt like the coldest day of the year and shifted his weight from side to side. He was almost unrecognizable dressed head to toe in black, his beanie pulled down low almost covering his eyes and his oversized scarf pulled up over his nose. His hands were deep in his pockets as he stared at the entrance deciding if he should go inside. Truthfully, he was scared to find out what kind of consequences awaited him on the other side of those doors. He’d decided he’d face whatever it was by the time he could no longer feel his toes.
He entered the facility quietly and the nurse at the front desk hadn’t bothered to look up at him. He shuffled out of the lobby and headed down the staff wing. His footsteps were soft against the linoleum flooring. He stopped briefly in front of Dr. Park’s door, half wondering if he was about to interrupt someone else’s session or if she was even in her office at all. He raised his hand to knock on the door and check just as she’d opened it. He shook slightly, partially due to the lingering cold and partially due to nerves. He hadn’t even prepared an explanation for her.
