Hanbyul was called to the front with only the message that there was a new resident that needed special attention when it came to getting acquainted with the facility. The email with the file attachment had already come into her possession for Minpha so she could understand why they called her to the front. Unfortunately, though the staff were trained has psychiatric nurses and seminars in how to handle residents with mental illness, autism was something that not many people were able to handle regardless of their training.
It was nothing against the staff nor Minpha, herself. Unlike most mental disorders, there were just certain things you couldn’t do when someone had autism and not everyone was able to handle a situation where an individual could potentially act out. The doctor herself wasn’t exactly sure how severe the newest resident’s case was; she’d only find out when she finally met her.
And it was like being introduced to a porcelain doll. The tiny frame before her was bright and wide eyed and look as if she would break from the simplest touch.
“Minpha?” one of the nurses called to bring her attention upwards. “This is the lady we mentioned. She’s one of the doctors here and is going to take you on a tour of the facility.”
Hanbyul nodded in agreement. “I’m Dr. Park, Minpha. It’s really nice to meet you. I look forward to showing you around.”
