I don't condone the looting and the riots but what else can we do at this point? People are tired, we are tired. Every day it seems there is a new hashtag, everyday My family my friends go out and are scared to live our lives just doing regular day to day things, scared if we will be the next hashtag. Not Because we have committed some heinous act, or crime, but because of the color of our skin. Every. single. day. And every single time this happens, there is no justice, none. They victimize the what's the word... "murderers" more or less, and the victims are criminalized. They try to find some way to downplay the what really happened and then it just gets swept under the rug. Every. single. time. We protest in peace, we do peaceful gatherings, we get ridiculed for it. We make a little noise we get called out for that as well. They were protesting peacefully and got hit with tear gas, that's when the riots started. At this point what else is there for people to do? Again, I don't condone it, but I understand it. Until change happens within the government, within the judicial system that breaks this chain of prejudice and hate and we are actually all equal in this country, this is what happens. The people are revolting because they are tired, because we are tired.
