I would have been so angry in that situation as well! As someone studying environmental science and policy and gender studies I hope to pretty much work in climate justice and climate science so these salty old white dudes are my enemy!

Right now? Honestly? Depressing stuff.

What do you love about yourself?

I like being Muslim, and I also like my body mods.

I'm seeing my cat, attending a nikkah, and prob eating lots of mint ice cream while playing ps2.

To pull my GPA up, graduate, work where I want, and tell people's stories.

What does love mean to you?

I don't believe in love. haha, sorry! :c

How would you define yourself and why?

Gosh, that's tough. Always the first word that comes to mind is loyal. I will have a friend's back if they've got mine. But if I find someone to be toxic, I have no regrets chopping them out of my life.

Who is your favorite author? poet?

Oscar Wilde, prob. I'm betting once I finish her series, NK Jemison will be another one. Poet. Jesus, idek. Is it a cop-out to say Cayla? I'm sure there's a regular one everyone knows about whose words just MOVE me, but I can't think of the name, and Cayla's stuff is great so yeah.

What are your top three favorite qualities of your friends and why do you love that about them?

My friends are all decent human beings. There's a good start. Some of them smoke with me. That's another good quality. Some have long discussions with me, which are nice, but sometimes we just end up licking each other's faces and flailing around, and that is also good quality shit right there.

But honestly, the top three I guess would be putting up with my shit, the capacity to handle both of me, and knowing they have my back.

What will you make of 2013?

If this is a resolution type question, I want to memorise more of the Qur'an this year. I only know about three juz, and it's kind of pathetic.

you should try asking your doctor about alternative forms of bc (like patches etc). I’m not on it now but when i was daily bc oral pills fucked me up! next time I try I’m definitely asking for alternative methods to try to avoid side affects.

The issue is that I don't have health insurance so pills would be the cheapest for me. Otherwise I would be ALL OVER an IUD.

I guess it depends on if you want to be having sex that could get you pregnant? And if you do, there’re always condoms? BUT YOU KNOW THIS

Well, it's a possibility but that's a Casey-Cassie talk, not a Casey-Cassie-tumblr talk. My main thing is that 1. I feel hypocritical for being all "BIRTH CONTROL AND CONDOMS" and not using both. and 2. I would feel more comfortable using both. 

Depending on the pill, you might not gain weight and your hormone fluctuations may actually decrease *shrug* NOT IF YOU’RE ON MINE LOLZ.

I've been on a few different kinds and I've gained weight on all of them :/  we can be all *hormonal* and whatnot together. Again: WHY DO BABIES EVEN NEED TO HAPPEN 

Also: now that I've lost weight I'm not willing to gain it back. Nopenopenope.
