Is Attanasio's Dragon & Unicorn saga good? I know it has the main Arthurian characters (Merlin, Arthur, Morgan, Ygraine) but he also included a lot of fantasy stuff from different contexts, like, vampires, chinese and nordic gods?
UH UH... Let's say that it is interesting.
I enjoyed the first book the most, I am not sure how to link the review but here it is
From what I remember, the parts with Igraine were my favorite. I know I skipped a book because I dislike Merlin, but most of the story is pre-Arthur. Still, I was surprised by how much I liked Merlin here, so if you enjoy Merlin as a character this is def recommended!!
The last book was my least favorite, tho I do not fully remember why. From what i remember it ended up being a bit too militaristic, and messy (with the mixing of different elements, a lot of supernatural elements instead of character focus).
And I really REALLY hated the homophobia. Bedivere is gay, in the books, but everyone is homophobic. It was such a disappointment. So I cannot fully recommend this series... not on pride month....
