19. what's a headcanon you got from a fic or someone else that you've kept?

Ooooh... This is such a good question and my mind has obviously gone completely blank 😆.

I steal a lot of headcanons from the overall fanon... Like Mickey's artistic talent, and him being dyslexic. They've both been used to great effect in many fics that I've enjoyed. I also adore mechanic Mickey.

These are all Mickey headcanons. I cannot think of any Ian ones right now. I'll follow up later if I think of any 😆

6. Which part of shameless/which storyline did you think was completely unnecessary?

Oh godddddd that’s a hard one I think the first thing that comes to mind is the Bonnie and Carl storyline, it was interesting I guess, but I don’t remember it doing much for his character and felt very forgettable (except for this moment) NO NO ACTUALLY I have major beef with the ending of the show, I don’t think Ian and Mickey find joy in weed security at all I think they want to move on past the rough and tumble days

hmmm this is such a difficult question because theres SO many characters, and ive always found myself naturally thinking more about the main characters than the minor ones...... i think my number one is ethel and malik. even if they didnt fully return, i wouldve loved to see the writers incorporate postcards from her throughout the show!

i also wouldve liked to see more of the black Gallaghers. why do they hate the rest of franks relatives? how exactly are they even related to him? what is their relationship with the neighborhood? why didnt the writers go with the much easier explanation for liam being black, that monica cheated? i feel like they couldve spent a whole season just diving into liam getting to know this other half of the family!

also what happened to all the early seasons alibi patrons and bartender? remember when the bar was filled with laid off workers and then they all (except tommy) disappeared like 2 episodes later lol. and the bartender always had great one-liners! and what about that guy that would sleep at the bar and then wake up and drink all day? did he die!? i wouldve loved if more minor characters and recurring extras were seen in the later seasons, but i understand its hard to keep the same actors for a decade especially when they arent getting the paychecks of the main cast

How many hours of sleep per night do you get? Between 5 and 7 generaly.

Do you dream every night? Yes, but I don't remember each of them.

What’s the earliest dream you remember? Maybe something in my childhood apartment when I was less than 6, just being there.

What’s the worst dream you’ve ever had? Maybe prison, or locked places. I've a real phobia of them, lol.

Have you ever had a lucid dream (where you know you’re dreaming)? Yes, the ones where I dream I'm late at work when my alarm hasn't ring yet

What’s something you wish you could do in a dream but could never do in real life? Maybe driving.

Do you have recurring dreams? Yes, maybe spending time with of my close friend. We often talk but we are living far away of each other. I'm always happy when I dream of us spending time together.

Finally, what’s a real-world dream you have that you’d like to accomplish one day? Improving my writing, becoming the author of a novel or a short story.

#16 - Who is the better driver?

ok, so this one might be a bit of a ramble. I think that might be somewhat of an 'it depends' kind of question. Mickey has probably been driving since he was tall enough to reach the pedals, where we know that Ian waited until he was legal. And since the Gallaghers didn't have a car, Ian probably didn't get a huge amount of driving experience until he started driving the ambulance. BUT - Mickey gets frustrated and road-ragey very easily, so I think that in city traffic, he's probably not the best or safest driver, where Ian can handle the traffic and dumbasses on the road a lot more calmly and doesn't try to do stupid shit just to get away from that one slow driver. Highway driving though - I think that would be Mickey's zen time. Cruising along, listening to music, with space to see and think? Yeah, Mickey loves that shit and he can do it for hours. Ian, on the other hand, gets bored super quickly and gets fidgety. So he ends up speeding more than he should, and actually gets just as frustrated with the endless emptiness as Mickey does with traffic.

28 - Does Ian ever have any more contact with Clayton? Doubtful. Since Frank's funeral would have been during Covid, I doubt any of his brothers were able to attend, and Ian never really seemed interested in having any kind of relationship with him. Thanks for asking! Gallavich asks

7. What happened to Sandy?

Oh, Sandy. 💔 I think the break up with Debbie hit her hard.

I think that as much as she could see through some of Debbie's unresolved issues, Sandy had not fully dealt with her own stuff. She's uncomfortable with her kid and ex's presence on a visceral level. So the break up churns up a lot of emotions she would rather keep buried. (Besides, she's been on a constant hustle, just trying to survive. Not the kind of situation where you have the luxury of processing the shit that's happened in your life.)

Staying with Debbie had allowed her to take a breath. Now she's lost that and there's an added layer of heartbreak.

I like to think that Mickey is there for her. At least financially. Given that his security business is going well, maybe he can slip her some money so she's not too stressed about her immediate needs (food, a place to sleep, etc.)

But I doubt it would go as far as letting her sleep at Mickey and Ian's. Just because they're also trying to navigate a move to the Westside and Mickey's fears and insecurities.

I feel like it might do Sandy some good to move away from Chicago for a short while. But since she was couch surfing in Chicago, maybe that's not a realistic option for her unless she has people she can stay with in other cities.

(This bit is 100% fantasy. But: Sandy crying and processing her shit while drinking tequila on a beach in Mexico somewhere. Let her get a tan and plenty of rest from her roller-coaster life, please. Let her exist somewhere the name Milkovich doesn't come with a container full of baggage.)

Hello! I have a question if you don’t mind. It’s 1am and Ian and Mickey are at the dugouts sharing headphones, what songs are they introducing to each other?

Okay we know ian likes sharing music (*cough* giving cd’s to kash *cough*) but i imagine his music taste is pretty, basic isnt the word but its the closest i can think of in that i dont think he was actively searching for bands and just listens to whatever is playing around the house. More dance music and fiona says she likes rap and rnb kinda things so i imagine that would be playing too. So maybe he just shows mickey some early 2000s stuff like idk why im thinking alicia keys but its 8am so forgive me lmao

Mickey has the radiohead tee so i can 100% see him being a bit vulnerable and showing ian some of their songs at the dug outs. Hes got a pair of earphones and a shitty ipod he found/stole/got a good deal on and they sit on the bench after fucking and he hads ian one of the headphones and they sit their together while the ok computer album plays.

Im not being specific with songs here i know but thats too on the nose for me right now lmao
