a fragarian(link) attraction characterised by an urge to fuse with one's object of attraction; to become one with, meld together with, and become the same being as one's object of attraction. to become more than just the sum of your parts, something brand new and beautiful. based off of fusion in steven universe, but doesn't need to relate!
[id: a rectangular flag with 3 wavy horizontal stripes, the lower stripe thicker than the other two. from top to bottom, the flag colours are pinkish-white, pale pink and light pink. at the bottom right of the flag is a large pink profile icon, and at the top left of the flag is the same icon mirrored (upside down) in pinkish-white. the flag has a sort of sideways dripping effect where thick lines of the flag colours melt off each other into other parts of the flag. end id.]
A term for attraction in between romantic and queerplatonic. It is not "greater than" or "less than", as those imply it is "more or less valuable", but simply in between the two. This attraction can feel like anything, as long as you feel like it isn't quite romantic nor queerplatonic, but still similar to the two. I coined this for a mutual feeling between me and my partner :) No terminology yet, but you can make some if you'd like! I also made a relationship flag for it. The suffix would be -romaic, so if you experience romaic attraction in a bi way, you'd be biromaic!
You can add this to any wiki or pinterest as long as you credit this post.
from olin (link) in toki pona and -ic (link) as it's used in platonic, romantic, etc
an attraction that is at its root most similar to platonicism but extends far beyond what it means to the point where it becomes a strong unspoken feeling that feels distinct, deeply and emotionally bonded, and cant be fully or truly described using typical attraction modifiers or labels.
olinanicism is extremely personal, being so deeply intertwined with an individuals definition of attraction and what love and devotion mean to them. no two individuals have the exact same version of this attraction, something that olinanic is founded on. the beauty in difference, loving someone so personally and instinctively. olinanic attraction is fully yours, while being intertwined with your individual of interest and theirs.
it is a serious and committed feeling of love, even if unrequited, and lends itself greatly to life-partner relationships that fall outside of what's considered the norm. it is comforting and quiet, and it is strong and unmoving. it is bright and subtle and it feels deeply intertwined in one's view of someone, for the better.
olinanicism may be likened to or appear romantic in practice and explanation. individuals who experience olinanic attraction may also confuse the two themselves due to the similarities. despite this olinanicism is distinctly and comfortably unromantic on its own.
olinanic attraction can work in tandem with queerplatonicism, fragarian (link), aromanticism, aplatonicism, and their spectrums, as it rests outside of amatonormativity and thus does not necessarily require any individual attraction. though this isnt necessary in the slightest.
may be referred to as olinan for short
an olinanic relationship is called an olinage (link)
olinanic partners may refer to each other as olins, links, or any other partnered language

[flag id: a rectangular pride flag with 9 horizontal stripes. the top and bottom are dark blue with gold open and closed eyes, the 2nd and 8th have a universe/cosmic texture, the 3rd and 7th are thin and red, the 4th and 6th are pale blue, and the center stripe is cloudy and white. the center 5 stripes are wavy. in the center is a symbol of two winged rings (ophanim) interlinked with a gold heart in the center. /end id]

The hexagon in the center is offwhite and divided into 6 equilateral triangles by dull brown, which also outlines the hexagon. The first flag has additional flavor stripes. There is a dark red, scalloped stripe before the dull red stripe; the dull green stripe is scalloped; and there is a dark purple, scalloped stripe after the dull purple stripe. End ID.]
Dextra Attraction: A tertiary/fragarian/non-rose attraction type defined by an attraction which is spurred on by an individual's skillset. The attraction exists because the object of one's attraction holds a particular skill. It may or may not also cause other forms of attraction.
To define a particular skill as causing one's Dextra attraction, one could use (theoretical) terms such as artdextra or sciencedextrous.
Coined in tandem with @painbottomtext, our best friend and freshly initiated mogai enjoyer /silly!
Terminology using sexual attraction as reference for equivalents:
Dexterity -> Sexuality
Dextra, Dextrous -> Sexual
Anticipated questions:
"How is this different from sapio/mental attraction/artistic attraction/etc?"
- Dextra is most similar to Artistic Attraction out of all of these, but its coining is intended to expand beyond the arts. Sapio is a term with a controversial history that focuses on the vague concept of intelligence/competence, and we were seeking something deeper. Dextra encompasses the effort put into developing a skill, the execution of the skill, the results of the skill, etc. It's also possible for it to be used as a way to define the source of another type of attraction, or for it to be combined with other types of attraction.
"Why the hexagon?"
- The hexagon is meant to mimic a radar chart (link)! Radar charts are often used to display several attributes and their intensities, such as in Persona 5, where a radar chart is used to display social skill levels. It's also used on the RAADS-R lol.
"Why the rainbow?"
- Gay! Just kidding, it's moreso intended to represent the spectrum of types of skills. Red: athletic, orange: education, yellow: academia, green: science and medicine, blue: trade/blue collar, purple: arts. Benny came up with these color associations!
Parental Attraction is a term for beings who feel maternal / paternal / naternal attraction / instinct towards someone or something. An example could be feeling a maternal instinct towards one's plush.
This term can be used by anyone who resonates with it.
Can I get a flag for when one experiences playful attraction in a way a wolfdog would? (if you could add a simplified wolfdog wagging its tail it would be awesome! (Not forcing by the way))
can it be a mix of grey/greyish browns and the playful attraction flag's colors? Thank you in advance!!
