I almost wrote a fanfiction about Trystan and Kingsley switching bodies. The Frog Prince threw a party and Evie picked up details on ulterior motives.

Evil? You really think our tiny overfrog is evil? Did I miss his obvious signs or is this a hypothesis?

Details, please. My first read of a book is always a speed read. I will go back and read for details again soon. What’s leading you to believe Kingsley is evil?

I can definitely tell he will be complex. I’m not sure I’d reach for evil, though.

So considering that Kingsley’s/Alexanders handwriting was implied to be the same as the notes being send around the manor, I think that Kingsley is being coerced or used. I think his going blank/full frog mode has something to do with it, what if someone is magically controlling him somehow to do their bidding when he goes blank?? Idk, this part is starting to sound more like a crackpot theory.

As soon as Trystans magic started taking a liking to Evie (which I think was sometime in the second book?) I had guessed that she would eventually end up having at least some control over his magic. I was hoping that she would gain some control over it and start wielding it as her own and start to make kills with it. This theory is why it didn’t surprise me that Trystans magic was hers all along, but the SECRET PRINCE THING?? Oh my god. The plot just keeps going.

Also,, the detail of Evie’s voice getting husky after she gets her magic?? Holy shit. I’m almost as wrecked as Trystan is holy SHIT. I did in fact imagine Trystan’s voice getting smoother when the curse was lifted,,
