Breakdown carrying the little Starscream
😭🐦
@bordandimustdraw
premise: in the middle of the battle of doomsday, techno is badly injured by sapnap. seeing that one of his allies and someone who is integral to his plan, dream intervenes and saves him, even though techno totally had it under control (he did). with l'manberg destroyed, the two flee through the nether, trying to gather resources and decide what their next move is.
but in the nether, the pair come across a sounder of piglins that have been decimated by some unknown force, leaving behind baby piglin twins. techno stops to get them to safety, despite dream's protests, and because of that kindness and having no where else to go, the piglin twins follow them through the portal.
techno, feeling guilty for leaving his friends behind, refuses to leave the toddlers to fend for themselves much to dream's frustration. but he relents, not wanting to upset techno, and besides, he's yet to figure out what to do and the scene in the nether raised distant alarm bells in his head.
now, settled on the far reaches of the server, dream and techno are struggling through their own issues while dealing with what it takes to raise two young kids. how will their own struggles clash or come together? will dream be able to continue his plan? will techno be able to ensure his friends' safety and his new wards' safety? will the twins ever stop eating dirt?
characters: technoblade, dream, phil, ranboo, niki, sapnap, tommy, tubbo, and others in minor roles
setting: canon divergent dsmp
theme song(s): 'weeds or wildflowers' by parsonsfield & 'not the ghost' by the crane wives
general feel: found family but it's just two dudes with some babies, fluff meets a mystery waiting to be undone, learning to care with no strings attached, healing and trauma
random headcanons:
as piglins aren't named until they're older, dream and techno name the twins. techno attempts to get dream involved but dream couldn't care less until techno suggests naming one after phil. dream nixes that immediately and techno challenges him to do better, so he starts naming off random things including: dirt, tree, grass, bush and then, accidentally suggests 'juniper' because it was a juniper bush. techno immediately agrees to that, despite dream trying to take it back.
the twins are named scout and juniper
the four end up settling in a birch forest that's near a large lake
dream still has the discs in his possession and struggles with deep paranoia and an ever growing fear that he's becoming too attached, that it will somehow spell disaster for them all.
the twins absolutely adore techno right off the bat. he looks like them and he gives them snacks and nice blankets. but kids are like cats and so they love dream, too. their favorite game is to try to make him break the stoic expression he usually has. sometimes, he makes faces at them and they tell techno who is like 'what, dream? makin' funny faces? he would never.'

I have ✨️Valentines aus✨️
Where it's focused on one specific character and another/oc
They can interlock within each other if you set their timelines up correctly.
Great example being
Zombie by Night, Conductor by Day
And
Glares at each other, then aggressively makes out
There was a point where the two briefly interact but stay respectful to their individual timeline!
But that's what I'm doing rn
AU Breakdown
Here is a list of my aus. With links to any threads, descriptions, memes, edits, etc. that are associated with it. Feel free to message me if you want in on a verse or would like a similar verse. I am more than willing to rp the same types of things with more than one person. It hardly ever turns out the same. I’m including a ling to my verses page. Though, not all are listed there. As not all are currently active. Even if they are available and have things written up for it. This is so I can keep my headcanons and things in line and so others can learn about potential verses that can be played with/within.
NOTE: I am open to other aus. So, if you don’t see the one you want to play in listed here, don’t fret. Just come and talk to me about it :)

Week 7-8
I was a tired human being and did not give my usual report on post listing, even though it is not required, but I feel like making up for it anyway. So I’m going to go into the last 8 posts and explain how they relate to AUs.
The first four sets of posts are meant to relate to canon crossover AUs which either imply that the two universes in fact exist in one shared universe, or that the piece of media in question is not considered canon, or true to the universe of the main story.
The first post is a piece of fanart apparently of the Welcome to Night Vale and the Thrilling Adventure Hour crossover podcast event.
The next three posts depict crossovers from Cartoon Network because many of their shows from even early back have been featured in crossover events. The first two involve the Powerpuff Girls, the first is advertising a crossover between the Powerpuff Girls (debateable) reboot and the Teen Titans Go! reboot. This is an on-air televised episode which, in regards to both of these works being televised shows, adds more degree of canonicity (if that’s a word) than the second post which is from the Powerpuff Girls comic crossover with Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and Dexter’s Laboratory. The last post is one from the show Steven Universe which is invaded by Uncle Grandpa. This post itself brings up the fandom coined term of canon into a televised context, which is a unique perspective of a show being influenced by fandom culture. Most of this, as I am aware, comes from the show Uncle Grandpa which appears to be slightly surreal and aware of its own existence. This episodes seems to depict a Universe where the character of Uncle Grandpa is invading the different universes of multiple characters, as by the show’s end he presents a list of characters which all refer to some Cartoon Network property.
The last four posts are me finding types of AUs. The first post I have tentatively labelled as a Shared Universe AU piece of fanart between the show Welcome to Night Vale and Courage the Cowardly Dog. People often make this connection as both pieces are set in the American desert where surreal events take place as just a normal occurrence. The last 3 posts depict types of AUs more commonly found in fanfiction. The first is a kinda canon high school AU of the anime Naruto. The second is fanart of a vampire AU fanfiction. Most examples found often use the vampire mythos as a way to bring sexual tension between a set of characters; this was the tamest example I could find. The final post is a type of AU stemming from what if type questions. These, from what I’ve found, are popular in the Harry Potter community and these types of posts are what I see most often. The post goes into detail about the events of an AU without describing it in a narrative way as a typical piece of fanfiction would but as speculative and what-if scenarios; this example asking if a Slytherin was one of the candidates for the Triwizard Tournament.
Week 2
This week’s focus was alternate universes related to the Disney cartoon series Gravity Falls. The general name characteristic of Gravity Falls AUs are either switching the word Gravity for a more apt word, like Reverse Falls or Relativity Falls which will be slightly introduced below. Specifically this week I focused on AUs that were reversal or swap AUs. In these sorts of AUs there are either reversals or swaps of personality traits, roles, or all of the above.
The first post I made was of the AU Demonic Falls. This is a swapping of roles of Bill and his many demon consorts to the roles of the ten characters associated with the prophesized character wheel. It seems that in this aU the personalities are not changed as much, only altered to more easily fit into their new roles. For example, Bill cannot be as manipulative as he was as a demon due to his lack of powers whatsoever, but it seems that the now human demons still want world domination.
The second post I made was not directly related to the swap theme and instead was a list of Gravity Falls AUs and details about them meant to help in future research of this series’s AUs
The third post I mean related to the Reverse Falls AU. In this AU, there is both a role swap and a personality swap. The Pine Twins Dipper and Mabel switch roles with one of their antagonists Gideon Gleeful. But to equalize the swapping of roles their other antagonist Pacifica Northwest had a role reversal from being of the upper class to the lower class and becoming good. The specific image shown here, however, is of the Reverse Bill, dubbed Will by the community. Instead of being conniving and evil, Will is more gentle and cries a lot. I focused on the Will image because this particular AU character often is also incorporated in other AUs, which will be seen below
The fourth post I had is from the AU Zero Gravity, which is an AU swapping the roles of the Pines Twins and Bill Cipher. However, like above, a one to two swap was unequal so the fandom included Will in the mix to make the Cipher twins in this AU. Like in the Demonic Falls AU, the personalities are consistent, but altered to fit their new roles. The Pines twins, for example, are still good, but their personalities have changed slightly to reflect the age and wisdom of everliving demons.
The fifth post this week is of the AU Relativity Falls. This AU swaps the places of the Pines twins. Stanley and Stanford go from being the adult grunkles to the child twins and Dipper and Mabel presumably become Grunkle Dipper and Grauntie Mabel, with Dipper replacing Ford and Mabel Grunkle Stan. This particular image is a screen redraw of a particular scene in the original show, so presumably the show would follow the same events as the original, only slightly adjusted to work with the different personalities.
Next week I might try to talk about Onceler AUs, but it is a tad challenging because this is a four year old fandom and, while I have found many different versions of this character, I am finding it hard to find specific details about their AUs and their origin.
Week 1
This is not necessarily a required thing for my course, but I feel it would be helpful to explain the point to each thing I reblog and what I get from it.
Before going into each separate posts for the week, I’ll open with a general introduction to the concept. An Alternate Universe (AU) is a fan created universe where the characters from a certain property are either moved to somewhere separate from that property or both the characters and the world of that property are changed in some way that deviate from the actual original media.
The likely focus of this blog (or at least this week) concerns the property Undertale. Undertale is sort of a widestream indie game as it were centered around a protagonist who can either fight their way out of situations like in a typical RPG or talk their way out of it. Basically, though, the fandom has grown in such a way that, I suspect, with the lack of new content to appease the fandom the fandom just started making their own. The result is that this particular property has spawned likely a hundred or more AUs. Most center around a naming thing of replacing either the word ‘under’ to ‘tale’ with some word relevant to the AU. Much of the content centers around the two skeleton characters, particularly the character Sans, who has become a fan favorite for reasons that, for the sake of space, are best left unexplored.
My first post is my one frivolous post of the week, still related to the idea of transmedia because it is relating three different character’s from different media properties, but it has no connection to my central theme of AUs…yet
My second post is more relevant as it introduces what will likely be the central media property discussed Undertale. This is a simpler alternate universe as it does not necessarily require knowledge from another media property to understand it, but it was created around the genre of steampunk so the viewer would likely need knowledge of that. It should be noted that this AU, like many in this community, has a specific story associated with it rather than being just sets of ideas from which other creators can create their own stories like many others (though that doesn’t stop creators in cases where there is a specific narrative for these AUs).
My third post is a set of images illustrating different alternate universes of Undertale. The set is meant to show the sheer number of them as this post is itself a set of a set for this category and, it should be noted, that the AUs listed are not comprehensive; I have seen many more AUs than the ones depicted in the entire illustrated set.
My fourth post is an Undertale AU that either crossed over or was created from an AU of a separate media source. I believe that the specific Undertale AU name is DanceTale, and this AU is crossing over with the well known Break Dance AU from the show Miraculous Ladybug.
My fifth post is a very complicated Undertale AU. While a normal AU creates an alternate universe from an existing published media property, this AU seems to be created around the Undertale AU Underswap, which is an AU centered around personality swaps between sets of characters. The complication goes further with the fact that the AU that is being created stems from a canon-adjacent AU from the separate media property Homestuck.
There are many different concepts of the AU that I will be exploring in the coming weeks. One I will be exploring the concept of canon or canon-adjacent (stated but unexplored or hinted at by canon media property or creators) AUs such as the various ones found in Hetalia and the Trickster AU from Homestuck. I will explore my previously stated suggestion of these AUs coming from fans without content. Particularly in relation to this I will look up on the Onceler fandom, a fandom infamous on tumblr and known for the sheer amount of AUs spawned for this one character.
