I *still* want an epic fantasy AU.

Magnus: "Fine, fine. A *vision*, about an approaching calamatiy that will wipe out your kingdom and everyone in it-"
Clary: "All kingdoms. All life will be lost."
Magnus: "Right. Complete apocalypse.
And in that vision - which conveniently happened to be while you were asleep but is *clearly* not a dream, -
the goddess of life told you that you had to gather a party of capable individuals around you, -of which I am apparently one, according to a *feeling* you had,-
and find the 6 legendary weapons of the first heroes, - which have been searched for by thousands of adventurers and remained lost for around 3 centuries now, -
and bring them to the Temple of Beginning - which has been similarily lost and untracable despite the efforts of multiple search efforts, - to perform a ritual that is as of yet unknown to you and will reveal itself only upon all previous steps have been met, to prevent the annihiliation of all life as we know it."
Clary: "... Yes. Look, I know how this sounds,-"
Magnus: "No offense, but I seriously doubt that."
Clary: "but I have been traveling around for the past 2 months, looking for anything that might make me feel like I truly had a prophetic vision and am not just going insane. And when I ran into you, there was this *ping*, and I just knew that it was all real, and... And I really, really just need some help. Please."
Magnus: "... Oh well. I guess I have set out on a journey for stupider reasons. Mind you, alcohol and/or pretty people had been invovled in those. ... Fine. But do not think that those puppy eyes of yours will work every time."
Followed by them journeying about, finding others (Alec,etc) that make Clary *ping*, and saving the world at the end. (and falling in love respectively. Malec, ofc. And Clary with whoever you want.)
