"Nòtt's family!"

My depictions of Nòtt and her family, based on this story I wrote about them! I also added in some fun info about how I see them. I haven't seen any content about them, not on ao3 or fan art, so as always I'll be the one to bring that attention to their characters. As always I look into the sources and use what I find :]

OC Week -   Auðr

full name: Auðr Ødvendóttir

also pronunced as "Aud". It means wealth, prosperity.

date of birth: unknown  age: 23  race: human

nationality: Asgardian She was born to a family of farmers, in a village next to the borders with Finland. She had a big family composed by her parents and four older brothers. Her cousins and their families also lived there.

 As a child, Auðr started to develop divination powers, something that quickly got attention of the whole village. Her parents didn't like how people started to seek their farm and consult their future with their child, but her older brothers insisted this was a quick way to make more money, since enduring the harsh winter with little they had wasn't enough for them all.

Things started to backfire since not all of Auðr's profecies were good. Sometimes she would predict disasters like diseases and plagues, and when fufilled, people started to fear and revile the girl. This ultimately culminated into the villagers burning their whole farm and her family when she was nine, claiming Auðr as a "witch". She was able to flee thanks to her mother, who sent her out in the night before to run away.

Ever since she wandered through Asgard, not letting anyone to know about her past or her powers, and grew up offering to work in families' houses in exchange of food and a place to sleep.

Later she also worked as a healer, since Asgard lacks technology and proper hospitals, people like her heal the others through the use of the Cosmo. She wasn't exceptional but it was enough to survive during her teenage years.

Now she works in bars at the main center of Asgard, where she eventually meets a soon-to-be God Warrior, Bud.

some extra notes:

- Her name meaning is meant to be an irony, since her powers to see the future brought disaster to her and her whole family; - She makes use of ancient Norse magic called Seidr, and can see the people’s pasts and future. - Auðr is fully aware of who she really is when she reaches adulthood. This makes her more understanding of her powers, and she allows herself to be more close to other humans and develop a more playful personality. But she never reveals anything too personal, like her past or even her surname. - her character is inspired by the Lady Doctor (Yu Yu Hakusho) and Aslaug (Vikings).
