His first assumption was that you were dead(I wonder whyyyy🤨)
The question probably escaped his mouth before he could stop himself.
“Are they dead?”
“What, well.. Sunny! No, we just can’t find them!”
He wonders why Hero had hesitated.
It just had made everything worse in his head.
He can’t lose you too, but you’ve already been lost. And only by chance would you be found.
Only when he knows that police are looking for you will be then when he starts to break down, his front door will never opened by himself again.
Hell not even his bedroom door.

SUNNY
you’ve been with SUNNY for quite awhile now, after the death of his sister he has shut himself out for four whole years. And thankfully, before he moves out he decided to spend time with his friends (and lover).
before he moves out, KEL has requested that they should have a sleepover one last time at SUNNY’s house like they used to before. HERO, who has came back from his college for the upcoming break, agreed since it’s probably their last time together before SUNNY will come back to visit them which probably will take a long time.
the fact that your lover finally showed up from his house made you overwhelmed. You were happy ofcourse! but the fact that after this he would move away makes you feel like you’ve been abandoned. You ofcourse, doesn’t show it infront of him. Which lead to you crying on his bathroom at night.
You woke up in the middle of the night, sweats formed on your forehead while you look up to see SUNNY sleeping ever so peacefully while hugging you close. This made you smile that he finally find his peace after… her sudden death. You think back from all those time alone after MARI’s death, because when you finally want to reach SUNNY he suddenly disappears and doesn’t answer your calls or knocks. Your stomach doesn’t feel really great either, so you slip your body with slight moves so you doesn’t wake him up. After that, you quickly went to his bathroom and locked the door.
You threw up on the toilet. Once you finally done, you walked to the sink and wash your face only to find you’ve been crying this whole time. “It’s okay” you thought, trying to smile in attempt to overcome those anxieties that he’ll abandon you again. Surely he doesn’t right? He would.. never. But why does he left you alone to rot for four years alone? the group was falling apart. And when you needed him the most, he just.. disappeared. The only person who does stayed by you was AUBREY. If only you were there for SUNNY, he wouldn’t have shut himself. If only you comforted him- If only-
“its okay, everything is not your fault. I would never abandon you.”
MARI
she’s really good at comforting people. Since she has a younger brother that usually sticks with her, and whenever the group has some sort of problems, they will usually run to MARI to get the comfort of someone reassuring them that its alright.
and you are no exception. You’ve been feeling like the group has been tired of your antics lately, and the fact that AUBREY and KEL just had a big fight makes it worse. You feel like you’re just a bother that doesn’t fit in into the group.
MARI has noticed the anxiety signs that you give and decided to reassure you that none of this is your fault and that AUBREY and KEL was only messing around with eachother and it’s not your fault.
the day has almost come to an end. AUBREY, KEL, BASIL, and SUNNY was the only ones at the treehouse that afternoon, everyone was looking at AUBREY and KEL that has just got into a big fight, it makes you worry that the group is going to fall apart and it’s all your fault for not stopping them earlier.
as one of the responsible people in the group, it’s supposedly your job to stop them both since you’re the only one that’s old enough at the treehouse. With AUBREY and KEL shouting at eachother it made you feel like you’re useless.
once HERO and MARI came back from taking the snacks, both of them looked confused and shocked to see you crying on the corner of the room while BASIL and SUNNY was trying to stop AUBREY and KEL from hitting eachother. She knew what to do and instantly rushed in to hug you close while telling you reassuring words.
“Everything’s alright [name], it is not your fault. And you would never be a bother to us.”
after you eventually overcome the anxieties, you felt like two people were hugging you. It was AUBREY and KEL. They’re both sorry for what they did and that they shouldn’t have fight over small things. You we’re happy, and hope things would stay like this together.
AUBREY
AUBREY is not really good with words. So, she oftens show that she cares through her actions. Even though you two always seem to stick together, you sometimes think that you really doesn’t deserve her.
after MARI’s death, she’s always been with you from the dawn to the dusk. But as of lately, she’s been less and less hanging out with you. You, as her s/o ofcourse were worried if she’s already burned out from all of your rantings and sudden anxiety attacks.
eventually, you came up with the terms of that AUBREY doesn’t care about you anymore. That she already finds someone better than you, and now has finally leave you alone for good. But that wasn’t the case isn’t it? she truly does still love you, it’s just that she was mad. Not to you, to her other friends. AUBREY just need some times to herself.
it was like just any other random days, where you would lay on your bed and cry yourself to death. AUBREY has been absent as of lately, thinking that she was tired of your antics; you overslept yourself again for the entire day.
AUBREY has been infact worried about you. But she just needs sometimes for herself, but once she does have her time, she knocked on your door but got no answer. She’s been worried because you kept locking yourself on your house. Scared that you will be like one of her friend, locking himself alone inside his house. This routine has been cycling for about one week and she finally had enough.
she busted inside your house and then found herself hearing a sobbing voide. Crying and screaming to themself. AUBREY was alarmed, and quickly went into your room without a knock and it suprises you.
“A-AUBREY…? i thought- you already got tired of me.”
“i would never got tired of you.”
HERO
he wanted to start a new life, and a better life. So after MARI’s death, he decided to go to college and study there for four whole years. On the first day of his college, he was looking rather… depressed. So many people were avoiding him because they doesn’t want to be a bother for him.
but that’s where you came in. “Hello? do you need help around the campus? Im [name], nice to meet you!”
he remembers that day vividly, where everyone would avoid him but not you. You remind him of MARI very much, the way you’re so gentle of someone you just met. The way you care for others, had him so… inlove with you at the first sight. And now here you are, feeling anxious about meeting his bestfriends for the first time.
HERO talked ALOT about his old friends from his town, and now when the break is coming up; he decided if he want to introduce you to the group! He also talks alot about MARI and already told you how similar you are. But the thing is, if you were suddenly appear in his friends life how would they react? how would they react if someone that even HERO said you were very similar to his late crush came?
so here you are, waiting inside his house with his parents asking about you. “i heard from my son that you’re his S/O correct? oh my gosh, you look so much like her! even the way you’re acting, if he didn’t tell me about you sooner i would’ve guessed that you ARE her.” this even made you more nervous than it actually are. Now his parents are reminiscing back the old times, and it made you more overwhelmed now. You couldn’t hold it in anymore so you excused yourself as nicely as possible to go to the toilet.
you’re crying yourself out. It feels so wrong but you couldn’t help it. Now how would HERO’s friends react to you? you couldn’t bear their reactions. Would they be disgusted by you? would they be scared to you? why did you even look like her is the first place? this is all too much for you to overcome. Eventually, you heard some knock on the door.
“hey… [name]? are you there? it’s me, HERO.”
you let him in, and when you open the door he suddenly pulled you into a hug.
“i know how hard it is for you. But don’t worry, they won’t hate you. I promise.”
KEL
you are pretty scared of new people. And meeting his parents were no exception. Even though the family was known for their kind personality, it didn’t stop you for feeling like you’re not good enough for KEL.
KEL is a really outgoing person, he was very different for you. And that difference is something that you are scared of. You wondered; how did you even get someone such as himself?
you’re scared that his parents doesn’t approve of your relationship. And also even though your guardian(s) has known them for a long time and that his parents is now treating you like their child, you are still pretty nervous around them.
you’re currently trying to look presentable as possible. Looking at your mirror to find yourself looking well, overdressed. Its been 2 hours since KEL was calling you that his family invited you to a dinner over their house. And of course you being you decided to look more ‘presentable’ at their dinner party. It was mostly just for congratulating HERO’s return from college but KEL has suggested that they should invite you.
when you heard what KEL said, you look completely pale from the news. He said he will be picking you up in 2 hours which is like 5 minutes from now on. You started to feel like there’s something leaking from your eyes, trying to get it away from your face you only realized that it’s your tears. And now your make up are completely ruined.(just ignore this part if you don’t use make ups.)
It feels like forever until you felt somebody was hugging you. You look over the mirror and found KEL hugging you from behind. He was in his normal orange sport clothing and look practically like any other day. He told you that there’s no need to overdress yourself to look presentable, his parents already approves you the way you are.

BASIL
to be quite honest, BASIL also has.. some anxieties that he also deals with. So when you are trying to overcome your anxieties, he quite knows the way of dealing with it.
BASIL invited you to come over his house to have a sleepover. And you accepted it, but lately you have been dreaming of… something. Its bit a pleasant dream when its literally about your boyfriend framing the death of MARI.
you feel guilty, really guilty for even thinking about BASIL that way. You’re sure that he’s not like that, BASIL is a really sweet person and that made you even feel even more guilty for dreaminh about it.
you are sitting on a bench, looking at your friends from afar who was playing with eachother just a few hours before SUNNY’s and MARI’s recital. You looked everywhere, trying to find BASIL but he’s nowhere to be found. Feeling like he was checking on the siblings, you decided to go over their house. Maybe you could even hear them play together before the recital.
once you’ve arrived at SUNNY’s and MARI’s house, the house was oddly quiet. Not a sound could be heard from the house, which was unusual because the siblings should have been practicing their recital by now. You were looking at every corner of the house and found no one, the only place you haven’t check was the treehouse. So you decided to got there, not knowing that there would be some… terrifying scene will enroll.
you were skipping your steps heading towards the treehouse, only to hear someone talking to somebody. You recognize those voice and soon enough you realize whose voice that belongs. You happily run towards their place but once you opened your eyes-
you were breathing heavily. That same nightmare has been repeating itself over and over for the past few days. You’re tired, but also guilty for it. You starts to cry and sobs violently, once you feel like someone was touching your shoulder you flinched from the sudden touch. Realizing that it was only BASIL.
“hey… i-i don’t know what you were dreaming but it’s okay. It was just a dream and nothing is real. Im right here… okay?”

probably collected rocks as a kid and gave each of his friends rocks that reminded him of them, including you
if you give him a random object he'll take it, albeit confused. and then he'll treasure it for the rest of his life
gets a little embarrassed if you find out he keeps every little thing you gift him
he tries to give you little things too, specifically things to add to your collections!! like if you collect leaves, he'll be outside and see a leaf and think "oh, Y/N would like this" and then gives it to you the next time he sees you
it's such a little gesture but it's sweet to know he thinks of you :))
AUBREY
she's honestly a bit weirded out when you give her a random trinket, but she accepts it with a slightly flushed look
she wants to gift you things, but she can't really afford anything big or special. so sometimes she'll get you little heart-shaped rocks or rubber bands of your favorite color, with a little note attatched
random hc but if you buy her food or take her out to eat you instantly have her heart. and if she takes you out to eat, you know she's in love
she had a box of those little green soldier toys from her childhood, and she gives them to you in hopes it'll help with your collection
start a collection based off her (ex: her favorite colored objects, clothes she lends you) and she gets really flustered. tries to chuckle and say it's stupid while hiding her face
KEL
he's very happy to take anything you give him. like offer him a pile of dirt and he's like "oh! thanks!"
when he was younger he used to try and give bugs to his friends as gifts, but he stopped because aubrey was terrified of bugs and cried when he shoved a centipede in her face. never again
keeps everything you give him in a bucket in his room that he keeps under his bed. if it's a bracelet or something like that he'll wear it and never take it off
give him something to fidget with and he's bringing it everywhere he goes
always admiring your collections and asking the story behind each and every item like "how'd you get this leaf?" and you tell him it was just on the ground and he's like "wow.." with sparkles in his eyes
HERO
he's confused and asks why you're giving him this random object but accepts it. he has no idea what to do with it but he doesn't want to throw it away so he has a shelf for everything you gift him
always dusting said shelf. you've never seen anything misplaced or dirty on it
never give him a bug, dead or alive. he will freeze up until it's out of sight
he's never really had the space or time to start a collection of any sort (mostly because his walls and shelves are stacked to the brim with trophies and medals) but if he ever got the chance he'd love to start a collection! maybe of old photos or plants
buys you figurines and funko pops to add to your collection
dusts your collections or cleans objects for you without you even asking!!! and when you ask if it was him he's like "oh yeah i saw some dust on it!!!! i also did your taxes and the dishes and all of your chores!!!! i was just bored 😊"
MARI
she thinks it's super cute and carries everything you give her with her at all times!! your trinkets are her good luck charms
get her flowers and she knows ur the one
gives you bugs as a treat (and sometimes pranks you with them!!) it's her love language to be silly
shows your gifts to all of her friends like it's show & tell. "oh, and this is a stick! look, sunny! a stick! :))" and sunny is really confused on why she's so happy about it
she thinks collections are super cool and anyone who has the time or space to do them is awesome. she honestly doesn't feel organized enough for one so she just admires yours!!!
she loves giving you rocks, she wants you to start a collection of her rocks if you don't already have one. and if you ask why she wants that she's like "whaaat? me??? want you to make a collection of my rocks??? pssshh..."
BASIL
he's kinda confused but he appreciates it a lot that you think of him!!! he also gives you lots of little trinkets and items
assign him an object of some sort and he loves it!!! like he assigns his friends flowers cuz he loves them and to know that you do too is just so!!!!!

but it doesn't mean he ignores it!!! he thinks about your parents all the time, and is kind of scared to pry but he asks about it for your safety
you two spend a lot of time at his house!!!! he prefers to not go outside and seeing as your parents erm. aren't the greatest, his house is usually empty and so it's perfect for hanging out!!!!
he never pries to the point of making you uncomfortable, but he is very worried. he'll constantly try to be there for you and lend an ear, as he knows your parents aren't the best listeners.
if you text him that your parents are being loud or yelling at you, he'll send you songs he likes for you to listen to to distract you and texts u constantly to keep you company
AUBREY
it. really pisses her off.
she had incredibly neglectful parents, and her mother would even get physical when drunk
so she knows what abuse is like. that's why although it angers her whenever she hears your parents degrade you, she never talks back to them or anything. she knows that would only end up worse for the both of you
although, she does express it a lot when you two are alone.
"dude, your parents are dicks, Y/N."
she's fully aware you're only playing it off for everyone's sake, but she never really talks about it. she knows how much it sucks for someone to call out a facade cough cough
she'll get you little trinkets or send you images of things that you like or that remind her of you throughout the day to hopefully cheer you up
her house isn't really available for hanging out either, so you guys often go to the lake or get pizza at GINO's, or just chill with the hooligans at the park
she never judges you for it, and tries to subtly let u know that she's there to listen whenever you need it. she wants to offer support that you otherwise don't really have
KEL
when your parents start saying shit at dinner, he looks kinda awkward and tries to change the subject. like if they started comparing you to him he'd be like "oh, haha i actually look up to Y/N! you raised an amazing kid :)"
he might dislike your parents, but he's always respectful of parents in general. he was always taught to respect his elders!!!
and then when you two leave the house he looks at you like a dejected kicked puppy
"man.. your parents are really something, huh?"
kel had only really been insulted by his parents during arguments or whenever he did something wrong, whereas he'd get spanked with a shoe and berated. they didn't verbally degrade him often, but they emotionally neglected him a lot.
he feels real bad for you, but he tries not to bring it up often. he knows it's a sensitive subject, he can tell by how you constantly say it's normal and it's just how they are
kel wants to wait until you're ready to talk about it. he doesn't push it, he wants you to come to him whenever you're comfortable!!
lots of walks and playing sports to get out of the house. he is constantly treating you to pizza at GINO's, and his family loves you to death!!!!! hero sees you as a little sibling and is always teasing kel about you
HERO
he tries his best to be respectful around your parents. he honestly wants to punch their faces in but he will not admit that
it concerns him when you lie and say it's nothing, but he doesn't push it often. sometimes he'll let you know you can be honest with him and that he's there to listen
with most parents, hero automatically wins them over and always tries to be polite and kind. but he doesn't really bother to get your mother roses or strike up conversation with your dad. he just can't really be comfortable around them
hero's family is very welcoming, so he'll always invite you over for dinner and his mother is asking constant questions!!! kel bugs you and jokingly asks why on earth you'd date someone like hero
(this earned him a smack on the head from both his mother and hero)
gets you gifts and flowers often, and leaves encouraging notes and compliments. he really doesn't want you to feel bad about yourself,, he knows it must be hard having parents like that
has a bit of a hard time finding words if you break down or cry, so he holds you in his arms and rubs your back.

MARI
similar to hero, your parents make it hard for her to control her anger. they're just so!!!!!&!!$&$ she has a general level of respect and awareness though, so she never really says anything
if she's at your place, she tries to be quiet but eventually can't take it and stands up for you.
"you should be a little easier on them. they've been doing quite well in school lately." she says, crossing her arms.
unfortunately this led to her getting kicked out, but she didn't really regret it
if you're ever feeling down about your grades or yourself in general, she's immediately showering you with compliments and encouragement. mari can't stand seeing you doubt how much you mean to her
i think mari has had a complicated relationship with her father, so she isn't a stranger to arguments and general mean comments and berating. part of why she's such a perfectionist is because her father pushed her,, so she's a bit of a hypocrite when saying you shouldn't let your parents dictate what you do
she's very supportive of wherever you want to go in life, always helping you practice and follow your dreams no matter what!!
always taking you out for picnics and dates!!! you spend a lot of time with the group to get away from things for awhile
she plays the piano for you to help you relax, and sometimes you fall asleep on her shoulder as she plays a calming song. she cherishes those moments the most.
BASIL
he hates it, especially when your parents come into the room and start yelling at you. he can't stand it at all
it makes him angry, but he's far too scared and shy to say anything, so he opts for excusing the two of you and taking you outside to check up on you
he can only imagine how hard it is for you to deal with that, so he's always checking on you to see how you're holding up mentally
he isn't great with words, so you two often spend lots of time together!!! at the park, at his house, at the beach, anywhere is fine with him as long as it's with you
polly loves you dearly!!! she's always embarrassing basil in front of you
he's scared that you're insecure about yourself due to your parents' words, so he leaves little sticky notes and drawings around to encourage you in everything you do
