There are a lot of tourists coming here in winters for skiing and hiking. Auli is known as India’s skiing capital. Apart from this, Auli is also famous because of the 4.5 kilometer long ropeway. It will take 25 minutes to cover the kilometer, so in 25 minutes you will get to see very good views.

Description: Throughout the lakes and rivers of Ethiopia and Eritrea, there have been reported of a lake monster called the Auli. First described by Theodore Von Heuglin in 1861, he speculated it was an undiscovered species of freshwater manatee. No dugong or manatee has ever been recorded that deep into Eastern Africa.
