rounding out the second quartet of Plant-Volt-Ice-Metal, here's Auribex! Auribex is the Goldhorn (also called Zlatorog) which was told of in Slavic folklore, specifically Slovenia. it was described as a rare, pure-white antelope with horns of solid gold. for the most part this is true, but though it was depicted as an elegant beast, people failed to consider that large horns made of pure gold are... quite heavy.
Auribex struggle to move quickly due to lugging around their massive horns on such thin legs. thankfully, they have at least evolved over time to have armor fully covering their backside, preventing any ambushes from behind. if given the time to wind up, a swing of its head with those metal horns could cause a powerful blow to anything in front of it! when it achieves its battle form it's thankfully able to manage the weight of its armor much better, and its fully-protected face and chest alongside its beautiful horns are almost regal-looking. perhaps early sightings of it are what inspired the design of the classic medieval knight armor we know today. Auribex can summon sharp spikes or large blocks of metal to both attack and protect, and can even create or dispel rust.
