Worst quest ever. Boil water for 30 minutes. Wait 4 hours for it to cool. Quest Reward: 12 quarts of water. Use water to wash dishes, hands, face, brush teeth, drink two glasses of water. Start again. Whose got time for this??? Still, better than wasting a million bottles of water I guess. #austinboilwaternotice #AustinWater #worsttimeevertobeagermaphobe https://www.instagram.com/p/BpTWxptFMhF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=12lob4mi2i9ic
Wow, we never thought of that! City of Austin has issued a boil water notice. People have naturally lost their minds buying bottled water, depleting stocks in stores around the city. Taking stock of my supplies, I have 4 Topos and a bottle of pure lemon juice to drink in Mad Max world. At least I have a jar of bottle caps to barter for more with.
Austin is starting to struggle to meet its water resource needs. A lot of the problem is that it depends heavily on the Highland Lakes for water, which are now at a third of their capacity. "The lakes lose almost as much water to evaporation as the city uses every year." It's time for Austin to look to different solutions for capturing and storing water for consumption.
