I know I don't post about my pets much, but I need to make a tribute to my favorite chicken in my parent's flock, Lorna. She died last night from a sickness, and her calm sweet personality and limping gambol will be sorely missed. :,)

So basically here’s my life update lol

I still don’t really know where I wanna go to college, but if I get hens and a garden here I know I’ll stay with my mom.

I’m really excited about growing stuff! My followers have suggested strawberries, sage, cherry tomatoes, pumpkins (if I remember right) and all of those seem great! I know I’ll do some herbs but idk what else lol. Tomatoes and strawberries are a probably!

I’m really excited about maybe getting hens, I’ve put a lotta research into this and am really happy that it might actually happen. I’m thinking black austalorps because they’re so gentle and quiet (in my experience) but I’m open to other suggestions! I live in a suburb and the law here is the chicken coop has to be 50 ft from the next house so keep that in mind that I’d need a quiet breed lol.

I graduate soon! June 7th is when school ends and I graduate on the 11th. It’s not as soon as i wish it was but it’s coming up fast lol

Pics of our other Osage residents, our 5 hens. Katie took these yesterday. I'm really proud of this flock. 1) Dot, our Silver-Laced Wyandotte; 2 and 3) Cinnamon one of two Easter-Eggers; 4) all 5 of our hens, Dot, Cinnamon, Blondie (the other Easter-Egger) and the two black hens are Onyx and Obsidian (Austrolorps). Wm is holding Cinnamon in her pics. . In the evening the hens like to roost on the deck rails of our back deck so we have to put hard them to the coop at sunset or they would stay rousted on the deck all night.
