Any aussie Mums know about parenting payment and part time study?
I was never on austudy when I was part time 2 years ago so figure Ill just stay on PP and study part time, but wondered if anyone has had experience with this? Calling centrelink on monday!
Has anyone else had issues getting on centrelink in australia after having a bub? Like has it taken ages to get on or pretty easy? Granted it has been 5 weeks, the paperwork was put in just after her birth on 26/06 I'm still waiting to hear something and i had put in forms before she was even born so why is it taking so long? and now they've cut me off austudy even though a woman told me id be able to transfer over smoothly...Not so much huh? ....so not currently getting any payments.....medicare hasn't gone through yet either so I'm assuming that goes in with the centrelink form since i filled that form out for both at the hospital....the woman told me it usually takes 21 days to put a claim through....it has been 21 days. They've now cut me off austudy, owe me $80 I'm meant to report for but i cant online so waiting on hold now. This system does my head in. Im a little stressed i wont get the payment on monday like i need it.....if i don't i wont be able to pay rent and i was told id have to ask centrelink for financial hardship.....coolest way to stress a new mum out! I don't trust anything any of them say anymore. But dammit i need my parenting payment! Is it that difficult?!
