Fantasy Novel / Fanfic Writers...
I may be a little insane, but would y'all want a fully fleshed out magic system y'all are allowed to use for books and stories?
I've been cookin stuff up. Y'all can have it. The Masterlist is definitely being written right now so keep your eyes peeled. Below is a quick summary:
How it's Acquired:
Through blood, passed down from generation to generation. Grows weaker or stronger depending on how much the magic is used and learned by the parent.
Blessings, from deities, nature itself, or pure luck by a random stroke of chaos. It is a natural magic, after all- and giving to nature or the gods is a decent way to gain some power.
Sheer determination and necessity. In dire times, it has been known that magic will forcibly awaken- notably in great distress or danger. It can also be forcibly awakened by many years of heavy training and learning.
The Elements of Magic:
Tempest, which was the first to be controlled in order to stop the Great Storm. Lightning, thunder, and storms.
Rain, which was the second to be controlled to cease flooding and heavy rains. Water, emotion, ice, steam, and mist.
Wind, which was the third to be controlled to stop the endless blazes and tornadoes. Wind, fire, smoke, and temperature.
Tranquility, the fourth to be controlled to help bring life to the land after the Great Storm. Nature, healing, sunlight, and life essence.
Rot, the fifth to be controlled to help balance life and create space. Death, decay, power distribution, and balance.
Time, the sixth to be controlled to manage and measure life and death, and to keep record of all things. Time, history, memory, and stories.
Astral, the first magic and the seventh to be controlled. The end and beginning, and the control of pure chaos itself. Prophecy, chaos, and creation from nothingness.
Important Notes for EACH Type:
Tempest magic is intended to be a glass cannon typing. Powerful, fast, and precise strikes. Potential, deadly or powerful backlash. Very emotionally reactive, and dangerous.
Rain magic is meant to be a middle-power magic. More about adapting during combat, balancing healing, defense, and offense. Can be devastating or powerful if used alongside emotions, or determination.
Wind magic is meant to be the most physical of the magic types, usually used in tandem with melee or weapon attacks. Acts as a supporting magic for personal attacks, granting great speed and agility, as well as powerful forces behind attacks. Is dangerous as a standalone magic as well, but lacks greatly in defense and has no healing.
Tranquility magic is meant as a passive magic, but can have some low offensive capabilities. It is best with healing and shielding or dispelling.
Rot magic is meant to be a nullification and balancing magic, distributing power from one source to another. It can be self-sacrificial, or draw health and power to give to other powers or people.
Time magic is a strictly supporting magic. It is meant for advice, wisdom, and drawing knowledge from past sources. It has no combat capabilities aside from what the user learns from the past.
Astral magic is meant to be a form of wild magic, stemming from pure chaos. It is usually used as support, allowing for oracles to create prophecies, or for stargazers to create navigational tools and maps. Can be used like all other kinds of magic except Time.
Sub-Genres, Tools, Soul-Binds, Rules, and Other Information will be found in the MASTERLIST. Stay Tuned for that post in the future.
