Eleven/El autistic headcanons requested by anon

Would eat Eggos every day all day, has to be convinced to eat other foods, especially healthier ones. 

Very limited facial expressions

Is non-verbal most of the time, so Mike and the gang think up of other ways of communicating instead of forcing her to talk, including ASL

Forgets that too much eye contact isn’t polite and often stares intensely which makes people uncomfortable 

Doesn’t understand jokes and doesn’t find things funny that others do

Has her own safe place, which is a blanket on top of a table with pillows and more blankets underneath that she can hide in

Likes wearing oversized clothing but especially loves wearing old clothes from the boys because the smells are comforting

Chew stims

Hand eye coordination when using a knife and a fork is really difficult so she just prefers to eat with her hands

Fiercely protective, always ready to defend her friends and keep them safe regardless of her own safety 

Mimics phrases she hears from the tv and from the boys e.g “mouth breather” 

Likes to stim by rocking on the reclining chair in Mike’s living room
