SPD Ed Concentraiting VERY Hard

Why's Ed wear this unwieldy long coat all the time? Why's it have a hood if he never wears it? Because the world is fucking loud and goddamned itchy but he's not going to let that keep him from research!

When there's too much noise, he puts his hood and his hands over his ears and lip reads instead of listening. When he deeply deeply needs to move, but the expiriment he's doing requires him to hold still, he wraps his coat around himself for that good good compression.

…Anyway, I've been drawing this for a week and need to get it out of my system regardless of if I forgot to mask the edge of his coat out or not.

"Already feeling better, eh?" Stede says, breathless and pleased.

"Mph." Ed says against his lips, crawling over him and sliding a hand under his jaw. Stede is very receptive, pliant and interested underneath him, and he wraps his arms around Ed's back, nails lightly scratching and making Ed drop onto his knees, goosebumps springing up over his skin. The angle that he hits his left knee at sends a sharp lance of pain through it, making him curse and roll onto his back, cursing "fuckingfuckbastardknee" as he does so.

"Oh, bugger, I'm sorry!" Stede says, reaching a hand down to wrap around Ed's knee, tilting it slightly to make sure it looks alright the way he does whenever it gets messed up. "Do you need me to do the clicky-thingy?"

“It’s rotten work, I know,” Ed commented, bringing Stede back. “Taking care of me always and shit.”

He didn't have the energy to shake his head again, but he groaned exasperatedly and hoped Ed got the message.

“It isn't work- not if it’s you,” Stede mumbled against his shirt. “I will take care of you, Edward, always.”

the worst thing abt having an ed is that im also autsitic and very sensitive to overstimulation and meltdowns to the point the hunger headaches actually cause me to hav severe meltdowns :( man why couldnt i jjst hav one or the other pick a struggle man

I had a dream that when Ed, Edd, and Eddy hit freshman year in high school, Ed's father (Jonathan) got a huuuge promotion at work that not only allowed him to work from home on occassion but also allowed Ed's mother (Sharon) to go down to part-time and be the soccer mom she's always wanted to be.

What this did was allow the parents to be close to their kids for the first time in YEARS. Jonathan and Sharon realized what a huge amount of stress they had been puttin on their son by having him watch Sarah all the time, and that their son might be Autistic. Not to mention that Sarah had been taking advantage of Ed's fear of social situations and the way he was scared of confrontation. So they stepped in. Got Ed the testing he needed to get the help he needed in school, got the help THEY needed to be able to recognize when he might need help or encouragement at home (like helping him get his room organized), and gave Sarah a stern talking to about being a proper young lady and not taking advantage of others. Not cool, little girl.

Everything chilled out at home, and then Sharon realized how things were for Ed's friends. That Edd's parents were entirely too strict on his academic persuits and were pressuring the boy into getting into Yale. That Eddy's parents were so absent that Eddy was essentially running the house by himself - not to mention that his parents kept forgetting to leave him money so he could buy groceries. So after a talk with Jonathan, Sharon did what she could to step in.

She started inviting the boys over more, letting Edd do his homework and studying in a relaxed environment without the stress of his parents breathing down his neck and stepping up to the plate as Eddy's mother. Reminding him to eat his veggies and asling how things were at school. She lets all of them be teenage boys, lets them have fun, and Jonathan sets aside some money to renovate a spare bedroom so that if one of them need somewhere to get away for a bit they can.

Ed, Edd, and Eddy start smiling more, start doing better in school, aren't as stressed, and become even closer friends.

It was a really nice dream.
