An important message!
A message from Crowley and Aziraphale
What does āThe Spectrumā mean? Do some people have āmore Autismā than others?
I covered these topics in a comic to help explain the extremely individual and incomparable nature of the autism spectrum!

Some birthday fanart of Honeydew for @autiebiographical!
Happy birthday, Autie-Biographical Comics!
I had so many fun ideas for Autism Acceptance Month this year, but Iāve been stuck in my longest and worst episode of autistic burnout ever. So hereās a doodle of my suffering I made at work.
Hereās to the burnt out autists out there. Maybe Iāll get the motivation to draw again soon.
Online autistic communities/advocates really seem to forget that it isnāt exclusively āuwu cute hyperfixation hehe stim break hand flap.ā
Youāre not advocating for autism if you donāt include the weird kids who have strange interests and are socially awkward, but not in the cute way. The ones people often describe as creepy, or call freaks.
Or the nonverbal special education students who groan and scream in the hallways at school while people in classrooms hold back laughter because for some reason they find it funny.
Or the violent aggressive autistic people who cause damage to themselves and everything around them at one minor inconvenience and will never live independently.
Or autistic adults with picture perfect families and lives, who do not relate to the autistic ācultureā thatās now been portrayed online.
Or autistic people who donāt benefit from stim toys, who donāt look at it as a huge factor in their lives, who went through therapy to help them learn skills that they struggled with.
If you donāt advocate for the scary cases and symptoms, the weird autistic people, the incapable autistic people, youāre not advocating for autism. Itās a spectrum and itās not going to be pretty sometimes. If you donāt acknowledge and include those cases, especially if youāre autistic yourself, can you really say youāre advocating for autism, or is it just yourself?
When you refer to the autistic community, youāre talking about them too. Remember that.
happy autism day!!
Reminder: My existence as an autistic person is not an inherent burden, or a curse. I am not plagued by a sickness. I am not diseased. I was not born wrong. I do not need to be cured. You cannot fix what isn't broken. Fuck you.
