Ava Harper (Daniela Silivas’ daughter)
This is Ava Harper, Daniela Silivas’s daughter, on bars. Impressive for a 12-year-old level 10!
I’m not sure what her plans are, but I think we all hope she competes for Romania someday.
Ive got some witch in me♉🌙 By Ava Harper
Nick, swearing like he usually does: Dammit, goddamn shit hell bastard jackass
Harper: /doesn’t even blink/
—
Nick, once every century or so: Fuck!
Harper: /GASPS and slaps him with a rolled-up paper/ Shaun is RIGHT OVER THERE—
Ellie: Okay, so tell us again what fathers did on Father’s Day? Before the war?
Harper: I mean, not much. You might get your dad a card, take him out for dinner. Maybe a little gift —
Shaun: What’s a good gift?
Harper: Uh, I dunno; depended on your dad. Fishing gear maybe, a watch, drinkware, a nice utility knife…
Shaun: What did you get Fa — your father?
Harper: /hums thoughtfully/ Hm….He always liked to get new ties. At least, I suppose he did. Never told me any different.
Ellie: /nodding and taking notes/
/later/
Nick: /comes into the agency office later on/ Anyone in? Ellie? Ava? — Now, what’s this…?
/on his desk there’s a new (to him) tie, navy with red pinstripes, and a card/ /the card contains a drawing of Nick, walking under a sunny blue sky with Ellie and Shaun on either side of him, clearly Shaun’s work/ /there’s also a few pressed carrot blossoms for decoration, like Ellie makes/ /both of them signed the card “Happy Father’s Day”/
Nick: Well, now… /looks over the card again and holds it to his chest with a touched smile/ Well, I’ll be…
What would Harper wish for the world after she dies? Who would she want her belongings given to? How would she want to be laid to rest? If she had the chance, what would she say to her loved ones before her passing? If she's in any positions of power, who would she want to take her place? How would she feel about her death?
[A holotape in Harper’s desk drawer, kept next to her case files and caps stash, bluntly labeled “Play this if I die”]
[Side A]
Hey, Nick. I guess we both know why you’re listening to this tape, so I’ll just get right into it.
If you can pull it off, I’d like to be cremated. Even without the Institute looming in the shadows, the world’s still full of crazies in lab coats. I’d feel better knowing they can’t use me for any sick experiments. I know you probably would, too. When you get the chance, I’d like if you could take and scatter my ashes off the coast. You don’t have to make a big production out of it, and I’d rather you didn’t. If Shaun wants to go, take him along. I don’t know how he’ll feel about it.
Speaking of Shaun, I…I know it’s a lot to ask of you, after you’ve already done so much for me, but please — take care of him? He can’t grow up, but as long as he’s got someone like you in his corner, I know he’ll find his purpose. I know he’ll be fine. I wouldn’t trust my son with just about anyone else in the Commonwealth.
I should have about 15,000 put away. Take 5000 and sit it aside for Shaun, so he can get his own place when he’s ready. I’m not sure when that will be — somehow I think he’ll know.
I want another 5000 to go to the Castle, and I’d feel better if you could hand-deliver it to General Garvey, please. He should be able to put it to good use for the settlements.
And the last 5000 is for you and Codsworth to split evenly. Should keep you both in spare parts for another century at least.
You and Shaun can go through my personal things together. I don’t know if Codsworth will want anything of mine, but if he does, let him go through it too. Take whatever you want, and let the rest go to any settlers that could use it.

[Side 2]
I think that should settle my affairs all right. If you could, please, give my regards to Piper Wright. Tell her it’s been a pleasure to work with her, and I’m proud of her and Nat both.
If you can get a message to my old chums from the Railroad, just keep it simple: “Whisper out, good luck to you all.”
Tell General Garvey — Preston — I’m mighty proud of him. Was glad to follow wherever he led. My heart’s easy knowing he’s watching over the Commonwealth.
If you can find Ada, just tell her it’s been good to know her.
Tell Codsworth that I thank him for his outstanding service and for helping me when I was at my lowest. I couldn’t have made it this far without him.
Shaun is getting his own tape, but…tell him I love him, always. Present tense, please.
And Nick. Whatever happened…don’t take it on yourself. I want to be a happy memory, not a burden. Don’t try to avenge me, if that applies. That’s not the move. And either way, don’t let yourself be consumed by what-ifs.
Everything is how it had to be. Don’t blame yourself. Don’t be angry. Just be you. Just go on being your extraordinary self. The Commonwealth needs you to do that. I need you to do that. And I know you can.
This…world, took so damn much from me —
[Harper’s voice becomes choked. She pauses.]
But by God, it gave me you. And as long as there’s still you, and folks like you, I think everything will turn out okay in the end. I really do.
…I love you, Nick. So much.
[A sniffle.]
So much.
