4. What is their size and build? How does it influence how they use their body, if it does?Alex Mercer is, physically, a 5′10″ tall lean nerdy white boi, and it influences the way he moves exactly None. His physical appearance is a big fake lie, and he shapeshifts constantly anyway. Alex will come at you with equal train-stopping force if he’s currently wearing the look of a little old granny or that of a big meaty marine, it doesn’t matter, because under that thin veneer is multiple tons of hyper-dense coiled fever-hot muscle fiber... and probably like 150 pounds worth of accumulated belt buckles, wallets, and smart-phones, depending on the time of day. Anyway, he’s a heavy piece of shit and has to be extremely careful if he wants to avoid breaking things, which is not nearly as often as he should.14. What do they care deeply about? What kind of loyalties, commitments, moral codes, life philosophies, passions, callings, or spirituality and faith do they have? How do these tend to be expressed?Dana.I mean... there’s, like. Uh. Dana. Just, Dana..Okay fine there are a few things he cares about beyond what he regurgitates from assimilated memories or what others have influenced him to think. For one, he thinks Doctor Alexander Mercer the dead human was a big old smelly coward. That’s perhaps one of the most solid opinions he’s formed as far as personal morality--he doesn’t like those who shirk responsibility due to cowardice. It was pretty consistent theme among those in Blackwatch/Gentek that he tracked down and murdered/ate. He doesn’t like those in a position of power who fuck over those underneath them in an attempt to cover their own asses. He’d rather deal with someone who owns up to their own actions than manipulators and liars, and he hates being tricked or betrayed. As far as spiritually or faith, he hasn’t developed anything like that. He’s still sort of figuring out his place in the world and what he plans to do with it... how he fits in among humans as something other, something predatory by necessity, and how to spend what very well may be functional immortality. It’s a hell of a question for a one-year old wormbaby to puzzle out and will likely take him some time to get a handle on.Loyalties, though? Dana. He has a lesser sense of obligation towards Daud, Kevin, AM (rip), Peter, and Wade (oh god rip)
40. What do they wonder about? What sparks their curiosity and imagination, and why? How is this expressed, if it is?Imagination is not this pile of sloppy joe’s strongest suit. Curiosity, though, he has in spades. Like any good babby child abomination, Alex loves to learn! Unfortunately, he tends to learn though assimilation, but not... always. Due to having Alexander J. Nerdcer as his “template” psyche, and due to the disproportionate amount of scientists he’s consumed, such as... the majority of Gentek, Alex tends to be interested in things of a scientific nature. Biology, most specifically. This bitch, knows so many big, technical sounding words. He really wants to figure out how he works, honestly. Alex loves finding insight on his whacky biology, and often carries out “experiments” to try and discern his anatomy’s quirks and limitations. These experiments sometimes involve a lab setting, but more often involve clinging to a lightning rod during a thunderstorm to “see what happens.” Some of these experiments involve AM, and those are the really awful ones. Just... terrible.Alex is also very curious about ways he can further adapt his abilities, and how to gain new ones. Sometimes this curiosity is innocent! A lot of times, it is not. I’m just saying, if he meets someone from another universe with a cool power he doesn’t have, and there’s a reasonable chance of his assimilation being compatible, well. The temptation is gonna be there. It doesn’t mean he’ll actually try anything, but. He’s thinking it.]]
