Tony met Steve in high school for a debate club. It was after school and only for three months. Tony was 15 and about to head to college. Steve was 17 and in a normal grade. They hit it off, they were both short and skinny. Steve had health issues that insured he didn’t fit in, Tony was a genius and didn’t fit in. Tony was convinced they were a match made in heaven. For three months they dated and adored each other. When Tony was about to head to MIT he broke up with Steve, knowing otherwise Steve would wait for him for four years. Tony didn’t want that. Tony couldn’t have that kind of responsibility.
It took Tony four and half years to earn a bachelors and master degree, with a couple minors. He was still tiny but much more sure of him self. He never forgot his first love. He was curious so when he gets out he tracks Steve down, sends him an email asking to meet up.
Only Steve doesn’t show up, instead this giant man does that looks like a line backer. He looks like a Greek god, tall and healthy.
Tony is very disappointed his tiny Steve is no longer, but also feels conflicted as this Steve is beautiful. New Steve insists he’s the same as old Steve he just grew a bit. Tony knows he’s lying, and proceeds to tell new Steve stories about his adventures with old Steve. New Steve is very amused by this and nods and agrees with Tony, only occasionally interrupting to correct Tony when he gets a story wrong.
